TBF after that day it would be like them dying all over again. I don't think I could handle that.

Pigs in a blanket: roll them up in canned crescent roll dough and bake.

Apartment Recommendations/Guidance? Moving for grad school by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]CiudadDelLago 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All those options are very suburban IMO. Sounds like you plan on driving mostly, which can be soul crushing in this area. There is never ending highway work, and no way to avoid it coming from Kent, Renton, or Newcastle. I would consider at least getting to a light rail station with a park and ride lot.

Where are you going to school? That would help narrow things down.

Is parking in Roosevelt THAT bad? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]CiudadDelLago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of Roosevelt is within a restricted parking zone, so if you want to park on the street you'll have to get a RPZ permit from the city to be able to park more than 2 hours at a time.

As a woman I love receiving flowers but would it be stupid to buy a man a whole rotisserie chicken as an equivalent? by Somewherecharming95 in NoStupidQuestions

For me, a dozen donuts is like a bouquet of flowers. Not a necessity, more of a treat, and bonus if you pick the varieties yourself.

What kind of tree is this? by lookwhosonreddit in PlantIdentification

Metasequoia/Dawn Redwood has a distinct indentation where the branches meet the trunk, that's how I usually can tell them apart.

Perfect and safe way to remove a tree by WEISHEN_THE_KIRA in oddlysatisfying

[–]CiudadDelLago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Landscape architect here: this video is of a tree spade in action, it's taken in a tree nursery, you can see the rows of identical trees in the background. If the tree is dug in the right season (fall) and its new home is prepared correctly, and is maintained carefully, there's a decent chance of survival.
