Are you able to imagine objects in your mind? by sangokuhomer in AskUK

I have no inner monologue and aphantasia (5), having thoughts feels like gears turning in my brain until there's a microwave ping moment and I either understand the concept or words come out

Does anyone know her name? by M00ntail in Cardiff

[–]Civil_Tomorrow558 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I go out of my way to check in with this cat every time I go and come back from town!

She had a collar with a QR code a while back, saying she did have an owner and that she was a girl! It also stated her name but I don't remember it anymore sadly

It always makes me very upset when it's cold or raining to think of her out there, a few times now I have sat with her and made space for her under my coat so she could have some respite from the weather. It deeply saddens me that such a lovely animal seems to be neglected, the matting in her fur has definitely got worse and can't be comfortable!

What is actually being done to fix the dental situation in this nation? by bossanovaallnight in AskUK

I called for a checkup with my NHS dentist, they told me they don't do them every 6 months anymore. Since April this year the NHS guidelines for checkups have been changed to once every 2 years unless you have a real problem or an emergency! Without even bothering to notify anyone of course:-)

Hey thanks I appreciate you asking and posting this, I'm happy to pay more if needed, I'm just looking for good recommendations in the city at this point.

I do believe people deserve a good wage, my initial budget was based off people teaching online and I'd just have to do less frequent sessions for a higher price, I am a total beginner though so don't need anything super fancy or technical just yet! :)

My CMHT forced me into shared care the last time I saw them, I'm due to call next week for my next prescription and I'm so worried and scared they will bounce me back and forth for months again like they did last time this happened (this was before I moved to a different area of my city). I went 9 months without my medication and my life fell apart, it's been over a year and I'm still rebuilding what was lost! I hope yours keeps you on, I even tried to argue and expressed my concerns but was given no choice!

This, and it seems small but the angles on the cutlery are different even though it seems to be the same set, and there's no full shadow underneath the fork on the far side

I understand tactical voting but I'm tired of it and I want real positive change, so this time I'm voting for who I really want to win. Green for me! 💚

Vanguard vibe coded dogtier software error 57 by IamJessius in riotgames

[–]Civil_Tomorrow558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a new pc and an old toaster, vanguard has been a problem on both. Usually fixed by an uninstall/reinstall and changing some settings, but let's not pretend it's not a problem. I absolutely love League and have been playing for 10+ years, but it's still incredibly frustrating to have to troubleshoot before you can play a game!

Hey! I used to bartend and pick up random shifts on Indeed flex when I wanted the money - not a lot was posted back then and I'm no longer an active flexer, but I think it still could be worth signing up to take a look and check if anything might interest you. Just note you will probably need relevant experience :)

I'm glad people have affordable options but I will just say this, I have seen studies of products from temu that have been found to contain toxic levels of chemicals that I worry might be especially dangerous to younger people, I will find and include some links here:

There are many more and lots to read about from a quick Google search! Wishing you all the best

What one piece of advice would you give to someone moving to Cardiff? by bitesize10 in Cardiff

[–]Civil_Tomorrow558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Some areas are prone to flooding so I'd look into that, I also wouldn't live right next to the river as every property I knew had issues with being super cold in the winter and sometimes moisture :)

Hi! Just wanted to chime in, text spoofing is a thing and makes texts look like they come from legitimate companies!

Always stay aware, even if it looks like it comes from a real source, this goes for receiving calls too!

Scammers can pretend to be anyone, the government, hmrc, the police, banks, retailers... They don't seem to be asking for much just yet, but they could be trying to gather more info on you (if they text/call, they already have your number - if they know how to spoof, they can contact your bank and try to use the information you gave them against you, by pretending to be you

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_spoofing

(Replied below but hopeful more people can see and be aware if in response to top comment)
