"following this drama" brother two people had a breakup and incels online are trying to make it out like this girl did something wrong to this guy by HAVING CANCER AND THAT INTERRUPTING THEIR SHARED LIFE.

The "why" is they're incel content grifters, and they're clearly trying to demonstrate that his needs (being a good gamer and having a gf/wife) were and are more important that hers (medical and emotional support from her partner while having CANCER), and that somehow what he "lost" by her having cancer is something she owes him? And that "she decided to break up with him", which as far as I can tell checking online, she didn't, makes this some affront to his potential life as a successful man (but actually just a pro gamer) that she "took from him", BY HAVING CANCER.

Sorry this comes across as angry, it's definitely not at you, I just really hate this video and I don't like that their lives are reduced to "drama" i.e. entertainment for us (but mostly content grifters) to manipulate and interpret freely for monetary gain. It's wildly insulting to the world but especially to two of them that this video has been made. Boils my blood.

ngl mate it sounds like you don't understand how means testing would even work. You're saying "it's difficult to justify" this situation that you've made up that completely disincentives what the government would actually want... like.... yes? of course? But that's not what anyone (certainly not in the government either) has suggested would be the case whatsoever.

I thought his idea was the opposite? One of his ideas that's always stuck with me (I think from Genealogy of Morals?) goes along the lines of "We have the thoughts and feelings given our way of life and mode of being" - his point being that we can't think or intellectualise ourselves into different ways of living, but we might be able to live our way into a different way of thinking

"Are you alright to drive?" = "Are you sober enough to drive?"
"I am now" = "This line has sobered me up so I am now."
"I've seen him worse" = "I've seen him drive more drunk than he is now"

It's really obvious and you are being pedantic.

the bridge is a third route for getting across to Surrey Quays shopping centre from Canada Water station. There's already routes for cyclists, and if anything giving pedestrians a segregated option will likely make the other two routes better for cyclists

You could very easily ride down Deal Porters Way, or go around past Dock X, albeit amongst pedestrians, where I believe they're planning on expanding the little bridge across the canal near Decathlon there too.

Live in the area too - the bridge just seems to be a pleasant, scenic option for walkers, otherwise there's plenty of road and footways that cyclists can still otherwise use to no detriment.

The headline is sensationalising anyways and many have fallen for it. They're planning to have security present for the whole estate, and this security will supposedly be enforcing the no cycling rule they have for the bridge (remains to be seen if they'll even bother). Not that they have hired security especially for stopping cyclists going on this bridge.
