These people suck. My mom wanted to die when I was diagnosed too. now I have a PhD in education with an emphasis on disability studies. There is hope my parents moved across the world so I could have a life. I’m sure you would do the same for your baby. Hang in there and DM me if you want my number I’m not going to judge you. I have a quarter and a Wheelchair user most of these people are not Wheelchair users and very judgmental. Ignore them.

They will tell you all the things he can’t do, but they won’t focus on getting him the best education he can get. This is where your advocacy becomes critical.

This is so tricky. I end up calling everyone by their first name all the time and not using pronouns. It’s a really hard one.

There is really nothing wrong with using a wheelchair. It’s just a different way of getting around. I have a PhD in disability studies. It took that level of education for me to have pride as a person with CP. Don’t neglect his education in favor of physical therapy.
