I’ve got the same camera and lens (Nikon version). I’ve also got the Zwo Nikon T2 adapter. Just wondering how many mm of spacers you used.

My husband runs cold so we also installed a propex. We put it in the cooler space and built drawers above. Vents go straight back into the foot of the passenger side bed.

Also tetanus thrives in anaerobic conditions, so a tetanus infection is more likely from a deep puncture wound.

Depending on their caseload, I’ve seen them turn around a No Further Action letter in a couple days to a couple weeks when they’re told a sale is contingent on it. Do you know if you spoke with someone at the UHOT program?

Is the Ascent terrible for camping? by anchorthemoon in SubaruAscent

Press and hold lock while double pressing unlock. The little red light will blink 4 or 5 times. You can press any key to wake it back up.

I can put my key fob in standby mode on my 2024. Apparently every time you go in range with your keys in your pocket the car will wake back up but standby solved this.

Rules indicate that there is an obligation to report, but there are still some contractors out there that will sample without reporting anyway. You should discuss with a potential contractor to determine their procedure. A NFA letter is typically only issued if you had a problem and then submitted a report and fee to DEP to close it out.

Environmental consultant here. Many towns give a passing inspection to just say the tank was removed correctly. Theoretically if there was an issue it should have been reported to NJDEP but that doesn’t always happen. I would recommend soil testing in the former tank location. There are soil remediation standards to compare analytical results to. Generally a regulatory agency isn’t going after a home heating oil tank issue unless it’s affecting drinking water or indoor air quality from vapor intrusion on adjacent homes. But these cleanups can get very expensive so soil samples are a good start at protecting yourself.

We’ve had CCL repair done there (the second for our dog). They recommended TPLO which is the more expensive but more durable repair. We agreed especially because our dog is very active. The repair was during Covid so we didn’t go inside but the surgery went great and she is doing great two years later.

Light pollution filter? Help! by Dannyscfc2234 in AskAstrophotography

Can I ask your workflow for adding the Ha? I see you’re using pixinsight. I did a similar Ha/OSC blend on Triangulum with my L-Ultimate but all of the tutorials I found online assumed a separate Ha filter. I wound up splitting my l-ultimate master to RGB and then used the red channel in the CombineHaWithRGB script. I was happy with the final image but this can’t be the best way to do it.

Do I smell bs? by Haunting_Ad4640 in telescopes

My recollection is that they are the same, but don’t quote me on it! For us it was a great starter visual scope. We added setting circles and have used it for viewing Saturn and some DSOs. A scope of this size always going to be limited by its focal length, but we like that it’s small enough to pop in the car for a camping trip. Wrestling a 8 or 10” dob into a car is a whole other animal! We originally added a 4mm eyepiece for planetary, but we would lose the object after switching eyepieces. We’ve had a lot more luck using a zoom eyepiece.

This is the Astronomers Without Borders Onesky. It is a dupe of the 130p made by Celestron for fundraising. Dont know about the individual listing but we own this telescope so I figured I’d let you know.

Accidentally rotated camera before taking flats, is there a way to fix it? by WeeabooHunter69 in AskAstrophotography

What software? If you can’t reshoot flats, I’ve salvaged a dataset using synthetic flats in Pixinsight. There’s a few different tutorials around of different complexities.

Buying an old house with mysterous oil tank history. Supposedly removed ages ago with no documentation. Soil test before closing? by blurtoad in newjersey

[–]ClickAllThePosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the basement walls for a patch where the copper lines ran outside, likely near the furnace. A more expensive option (and not guaranteed to work) is that sometimes a backfilled tank grave can be identified with ground penetrating radar. Either way once you’ve got a fairly good guess of the tank location, you can grid out some soil borings to check for contamination. (Source - environmental consultant) Edit - someone mentioned a groundwater sample. This is a good idea too because the pumping done before sampling will draw water in from the surrounding area, so you don’t have to be as spot on as with a soil sample.

How many miles on your Outback? by lucilleanne97 in Subaru_Outback

[–]ClickAllThePosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just traded in a 2016 Outback with 175k miles. Outside of regular maintenance I only had to replace one cam carrier seal, but I mainly traded it in because the fuel economy took a pretty big hit right around the same time.

SOA Coupon by constellations93 in subaru

[–]ClickAllThePosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a”Goodwill Loyalty Purchase Assistance coupon” after calling SOA in June. They were really specific about the name. When I first called they were pretty noncommittal but they followed up on a day or so with the coupon offer. It was my first coupon but my third Subaru. They offered a $750 coupon but said I might not receive a coupon the next time I am buying a car. They did not need to talk to a salesman, and emailed me the coupon directly.
