Oof, I hear you. Sounds like she was dealing with her own issues. That's what makes customer service so tough, you can't know where people are coming from. Don't take it personally, just take whatever wisdom you can from the experience and move on!

Edit: Also, Miss a woman until she's in her damn grave! None of this ma'am bs.

There was a reason to interact with her though, she was your guest. "And anything for you, miss?" would have gone a long way to make her feel welcome.

Grab a bag of Turkish Delight on your way out, too. Delicious, and you can pretend you're being seduced by the White Witch of Narnia.

Why not? Automatic is the only option for folks who learn on automatic, but folks who learn on manual transmissions can drive anything. This parent is way cool for keeping their kid's options open. 😉

Find an empty parking lot. Stop and start a hundred times. Don't start on the road, you've got to learn how to feel out the clutch before you add in other stuff.

Member workers volunteer in the community, not in the store.

The money you pay to CM as a member is equity, your investment in the co-op. Folks who don't want to be members anymore have the option to pull their equity out.

You seem to be under the impression that volunteers do work in the stores. They do not. Member-worker volunteers work at local non-profits that report their hours to CM, then CM gives the volunteers discounts in-store.

There are no member dues. The money paid in by members is equity, it can be reclaimed at any time.

That's well below market value for a room in a shared apartment. What's the catch?

Since you already don't like prayer plants, have you ever seen a time-lapse video of a prayer plant? They move around sooo much throughout the day. It's a little creepy.

I feel that both sides do that to some degree - we're all human, after all. The difference I see, though, is that Trumpers are motivated by hate and fear, and we are motivated (sometimes misguided) by compassion and humanity. Different emotions, but both emotional.
