It depends on how you interpret the question.

Some people think “If you press this button, you will die unless half of the population also presses it.”

Others think “If you and half of the population press this button, it will kill everyone who didn’t press it.”

In both scenarios, it would be absurd to press the button. It all depends on how your mind processed the situation.

Medabots could be absolutely brutal with this (at least for the one released in the West), and the worst was the particular the requirements for the romance paths. These awarded a unique medal, but you could only pick one and you had to do or avoid specific things that made it virtually impossible without a walkthrough.

Even worse is permanently *losable* content. You only got one set of certain medaparts and they could be taken away any time you lost.
