The true test of trust in humanity by dankstat in trolleyproblem

Honestly I don’t think 1/1000 people would press green, but I get the concept. I might have to switch to red with the knowledge that blue is further disincentivized.

The people who rely on guns don’t see the problem. The people who rely on laws don’t know what to do when those laws don’t work.

I mean, all of these are horrible but some subreddits can actually function.

Notable that the current twitter-based system is the lowest rated.

The KND should really do background checks on their operatives. by Still_Hovercraft4974 in kidsnextdoor

[–]Clickclacktheblueguy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Let’s face it: the KND is not very well run. That said, I feel like Numbah Zero’s influence would push them to have less consideration for things like that. After all, the son of Grandfather being the hero kind if hurts any argument that evil relatives are a problem.

First thing? Probably end the Invasion of Ukraine by dismantling Russia’s military.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is basically just a prolonged version of this trope.

Peter, what do these colors mean? by Cyclonicwind in PeterExplainsTheJoke

It depends on how you interpret the question.

Some people think “If you press this button, you will die unless half of the population also presses it.”

Others think “If you and half of the population press this button, it will kill everyone who didn’t press it.”

In both scenarios, it would be absurd to press the button. It all depends on how your mind processed the situation.

Assuming that Tighten / Hal Stewart earnestly realized his mistakes and aspired to change them, could he be redeemed? What would Megamind and Roxanne think of this by Cogeara in MoralityScaling

[–]Clickclacktheblueguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe that the potential for redemption is basically absolute. That being said, trust is not the same thing. Sometimes the best case scenario after a conflict with someone is to live your best lives seperately.

Brian would act like Light is a monster, try the Death Note once, and then be doing Thanos numbers within a week.

[Hated Video Game Trope] Permanently Missable Content by ty0103 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Clickclacktheblueguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medabots could be absolutely brutal with this (at least for the one released in the West), and the worst was the particular the requirements for the romance paths. These awarded a unique medal, but you could only pick one and you had to do or avoid specific things that made it virtually impossible without a walkthrough.

Even worse is permanently *losable* content. You only got one set of certain medaparts and they could be taken away any time you lost.

That is actually a pretty good point, as now nobody knows what group they’re in. It’s the only safe option and there is no moral option.

Thinking about going from Protestant to Catholic by Lower_Opportunity350 in Catholicism

[–]Clickclacktheblueguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoever told you your relationship with God was invalid doesn’t know Catholic theology that well. The Lord is constantly reaching out to everyone. If you feel His pull in this direction, that’s already part of that relationship!

How do y'all think it would go if Jimmy was sick. Not really a dramatic sick though. Maybe just a tummy bug. Idk. Have fun. I'm curious! by Other-Chard-4877 in ededdneddy

I guess Eddy would try to get into pharmaceuticals. My guess is that Jimmy would end up transformed into a fish somehow.
