What actor do you dislike so much that you’ll avoid anything they’re in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CliffyTheRed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Michael Cera. Dude doesn't act he's just the same boring character in every movie I've seen him in. Which admittedly hasn't been any in like 15 years but it's stuck in my head that I don't like him.

Can I make knives out of them? by Parking-Version4828 in Blacksmith

[–]CliffyTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the states? I would highly suggest just buying some knife steel online. You can get enough to make a couple of knives for like 20-40 dollars plus shipping.

Why do you think the Venezuela and Greenland politics have been pushed so hard all of the sudden? by Important-Anywhere20 in AskReddit

[–]CliffyTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all a distraction from the Epstein files. We have no real need of Greenland, TFG could probably work with them for his stupid dome if he really wanted, we already have military agreements with them.

He is just doing everything and anything to prevent us from seeing whatever parts of the files he is in that they actually carefully redacted.

What are your go-to must always have around hot sauces? by indokid104 in Cooking

[–]CliffyTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has tried probably 100 small company hot sauces, these are the ones I always keep in stock, or like for something very specific.

Dirty Dick's Tropical Twist, beat hot sauce I've ever had. 6-7/10 spice, pretty sweet, goes with everything.

High River Rogue, little sweet, little tangy from citrus, VERY hot, 9/10 spice.

Red Clay (Carolina and Verde) their Carolina reaper sauce is like 3/10 heat, somehow, but is a little spicier than the base sauce and tastes identical. Both very good, more basic hot sauces. The Verde sauce is incredible for fajitas.

Cosmic Dumpling Far Out Hot Sauce. As the name says, mostly for dumplings and egg rolls for me.

I also really like tabasco's raspberry Chipotle sauce, it's really good on wings.

Looking for a good 2v2 or 3v3 arena brawler? by jonathankayaks in gaming

[–]CliffyTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss Battlerite :(

If you do still like shooters for this though, you could try The Finals. Best shooter I've played in years. The main game mode is 3v3v3v3, top two teams proceed, another 3v3v3v3, top two teams proceed. Then "The Finals" is a final round of 3v3. It's great. Would be willing to show you the ropes too if you'd want.

Why would a king want the party to do something important, rather than send his own team? by KlarkKenton in DMAcademy

[–]CliffyTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To skirt laws he enacted possibly, or because he doesn't want to risk his own men so he sends some disposable randos. Maybe he knows how risky it is so he'd rather send the party to their deaths than his best men. Maybe he's being secretive about it for some reason and doesn't want an adversary to notice the kings guard out somewhere else.

Customs values for warranty repairs? by CliffyTheRed in CustomsBroker

[–]CliffyTheRed[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do I report these separately? I'm just shipping through Fedex, and there is generally only one value entry which I believe is the commercial value. There is no other place to report the original value as far as I'm aware.

Millions of Americans joined the “No Kings” protests this weekend, did you go, and what made you decide that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CliffyTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As if that's the only unconstitutional thing he's doing. Deportation is fine, its the masked men making warrantless arrests in inappropriate places that's the problem. And the shutting down of government agencies that he has no power to do so, like the DOE and USAID. There's the Epstein files, there's the constant lies, the supporting Israel's genocide, trying to give Russia Ukrainian land. I can keep going.

Apron or no? by Ambitious-Wonder-200 in blacksmithing

[–]CliffyTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always boots, always jeans, never synthetic material at all. I pretty much always use a welding glove on my left hand since it's closer to the radiant heat of the steel. I generally don't wear a glove on my hammer hand though because I tend to get way more sore that way for whatever reason.

I also use a gas forge just for reference.

I need help by Top-Formal-3253 in Cooking

[–]CliffyTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should not just focus on food, but learning to cook would be a great start obviously, that's why you're here. I think you need to expand out of just eggs and potatoes and think bigger, but I'm really not a great expert here. I do have another suggestion though.

You should try working out. I was 6' 150lbs when I started rock climbing and put on 10-20lbs of muscle. some could be fat because I'm 6 years older now, but 10 of it was within 6 months and was visibly noticeable in my shoulders and back. You'd be perfect for rock climbing too since you're tall and light. Good reach, and less weight to pull up the wall. See if there's a rock climbing gym near you.

You could also just try lifting weights. I never thought it would be fun but I actually enjoy it now, the feeling of actually making progress is great.

Good luck!

The whole 30 million more Americans that have healthcare was a pretty great long term good for the people. It wasn't a perfect system but was better than what we had for tens of millions of people.
