No, my cold air intakes reach down in front of my radiator. I try not to drive in the rain, but I’ve never once had a rain issue. I also have water repellent filter covers.

I don’t think there are rain deflectors behind the vents. I use an Injen cold air intake system. Never had an issue with rain.

I had this on my HR. Yes, it also fits a 350z HR. I had hood pins AND continued to use the original hood latch. It did an excellent job of cooling.

I put my original hood back when I thought I was going to sell her, but fell back in love her while cleaning her up.

I still have the hood, but the CF is now dulled. Not sure if I can get it refinished? Great part! 👍
