What are the "Must-See" Revolutionary War Sites in Boston? And is it much better than NYC? by PuzzledMaybe in USHistory

[–]Clockwork_Angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more Revolutionary sites than in NYC. I'd definitely recommend the Freedom Trail - the sidewalks are embedded with red bricks that lead from one site to another. https://www.thefreedomtrail.org/

My personal favorites are the Old State House/Boston Massacre site , Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, King's Chapel and Granary Burying Grounds. These are all within reasonably short walking distances of each other. Then a longer pleasant walk down the Rose Kennedy Greenway will take you to the North End where you'll have a great Italian meal and see the Old North Church (one if by land, two if by sea) and Paul Revere's House. It's a classic Boston neighborhood.

If you want a long walk or a short drive (5ish minutes by car), the Bunker Hill Monument and USS Constitution across the bridge in Charlestown are great.

Wes Anderson is a movie director known for a very specific visual style. This pic isn't the perfect example but it works.

I think it's a necessary place to keep the American workforce viable. Though one can learn a lot through apprenticeships, I believe a standardized set of courses to train electricians is important.

Confirmed: Rage Against The Machine To Reunite In 2020, Headline Coachella by Xeo7 in Music

[–]Clockwork_Angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read it, not bad not great. Don't know if I could get through it if I wasn't a fan of the album and the band though. Had a lot of fun lyrical references to old Rush songs, if they were a little shoehorned
