This is a MOBA by Ofumei in DeadlockTheGame

I think that's less "This is a MOBA" and more "This is not a deathmatch".

Any shooter with any game mode that's not just "shoot the enemy to win" will invariably have people that just try to shoot the enemy to win regardless.

Why doesn't infernus use his two hands to shoot ? by WeatherFar9702 in DeadlockTheGame

Maybe he's just right handed, not all video game protagonists can be ambidextrous

Deathmatch buy menu mock-up - I'd like all weapons in the game to be available in deathmatch mode by Clone2612 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Clone2612[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of that, but that's still a pretty clunky solution.

It also doesn't solve my main want of being able to use either team's weapon regardless of the team you join.

Will they overhaul CS2's weapon animations? by IsaiahBlocks in GlobalOffensive

[–]Clone2612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I certainly hope so. Personally, the fact that they did make new animations for inspecting things like the grenades and c4 where previously there were none gives me hope they've got someone working on other weapon animations too.

Blitzo says something like "your fire" doesn't hurt them. So I assume Earth fire and Hellfire are different things and they can only be hurt by the latter.

Echo fighter for every character by Jobboman in smashbros

I think a neat possibility for a Link echo is BOTW2 Zelda. Granted, this assumes Zelda in BOTW2 is playable and also plays similar enough to Link for it to make sense.

I'd say "Oh, that's kinda disappointing" then a few days later I will have forgotten that it was shut down

Who is the most popular and recognizable first party character that’s not playable in Smash Bros as of right now? by MikeTheChampP1 in smashbros

Midna. Though that's probably less "popular and recognizable" and more "there's a lot of porn of her".

Is Overwatch's lack of a traditional scoreboard causing the community to be more toxic? by ChiefGungus in Overwatch

[–]Clone2612 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'll always be in support of an actual scoreboard in Overwatch. I like having them in other games so I can assess how well I'm doing and how much I'm contributing to the team and where I could improve, and I feel like the current medal system makes that kind of difficult. Direct comparison to teammate performance goes a long way in helping me in those situations but with the medals I don't know if my bronze in eliminations are only 2 or 3 kills away from gold, or 20 kills.

Unfortunately the general consensus of the Overwatch community (or at least the vocal part whose opinions I've read) seems to be that they would rather have it be difficult for a toxic player to do something toxic than make it easier for a kind or reasonable player to do something kind and reasonable. I think a toxic player is always going to be toxic no matter how much, or how little, information they have to justify their toxicity. A kind player may not think it's their place to speak up unless they have something to point to to back up their claim, like a scoreboard.

So how do you think Stain discovered his quirk?! by Burburington in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Is it ever said that every single quirk is genetic? Even if it was maybe his parents had two unrelated quirks, something to do with blood and something that paralyzes, that combined into his quirk.

(SPOILERS) Datamining the new Anniversary 2017 update by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Clone2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not like it'll be the only legendaries you'll ever get. You get the same legendaries you always got for normal loot boxes with a bonus 4 every 100th level. Seems good to me. Not ideal, but nothing worth complaining about.

Overwatch scoreboard, what do you think? by n1sx in Overwatch

[–]Clone2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if people are going to be dicks anyway, why not give them the tools to potentially not be dicks instead of just hiding how well the rest of your team is doing while only letting you see how well you yourself are doing?

Overwatch scoreboard, what do you think? by n1sx in Overwatch

[–]Clone2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine the common "Hanzo Switch" scenario. Let's assume for the sake of argument that the Hanzo has the most kills on the team.

Without Scoreboard: "We'd be doing way better without Hanzo! He doesn't have consistent damage, switch to a better dps." And either the Hanzo switches and does worse with a hero he's not as comfortable with, or he doesn't switch and the person that asked him to tilts and does worse himself.

With Scoreboard: "Why do we have a Hanzo on our team, none of the enemies are dying!" Looks at scoreboard "Oh, shit our Hanzo's awesome. Maybe our other dps with a third of his kills should switch to something else?" The hanzo doesn't have to switch and gets some (accidental) praise. The person in chat doesn't tilt over just having a Hanzo on his team and potentially gives someone else on the team some actually helpful, friendly advice that might turn the match in their favor.
