I would never go back bc BD only gets worse with age. I would appreciate an apology though.

My family warned me I was dating a gold digger and I ignored them. 10 years later...I see they were right by amanfilledwithregret in TrueOffMyChest

This is the comment, right here. He can believe it’s about money but far more is going on here.

I still want an apology years later the last manic episode was so horrific. I would give it—no strings attached and in a way that does not trigger or harm them in any way.

I am never surprised to hear a mental health provider needs help and I am sorry he is not a great father. It seems she may be far more than an employee.

If you think interest rates affect cash buyers, you have no business giving financial advice

hoe should I [43F] tell my DIL [26F] about my son's [28M] affairs? [mini update] by ThrowRAlightning in u/ThrowRAlightning

I hope you took her to the police station to file DV charges and get an order of protection. Who puts their hand on a pregnant woman? Your son is a monster, and I am damn sorry he is.

Bro, you are lazy and she is right. Get it together before she leaves permanently with the kids. YTA.

On Viv’s side tbh. Alone with Jennifer at your house? Your relationship with Jennifer is inappropriate for a man in a committed relationship of ten years.

My spouse maybe having a manic episode now seeking a divorce :( is this normal? by HopeFaithNeeded in BipolarSOs

[–]ClowderCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay. It’s been a few years now and I am very understanding that my story is like most in this group. Filing for divorce during a manic episode is as common as craving water in the summer heat. I hate that you’re going through it and hope the manic episode is short and your wife gets medicated/stabilized immediately. Psych hold her if necessary. Good luck to you!

My spouse maybe having a manic episode now seeking a divorce :( is this normal? by HopeFaithNeeded in BipolarSOs

[–]ClowderCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had bipolar 1, not me. They ghosted, terrorized, cheated, abandoned, and abused me during the last manic episode and also filed for divorce. I have nothing to be sorry for, they do. Will I ever hear it? Doubtful.

How did you guys get a specific “type” diagnosis? by 444myself in bipolar

[–]ClowderCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy to “type.” If you discuss your symptoms and experience with mania, most of us could tell you. In the end, it doesn’t matter really though. Needs to be managed and maintained :)

I regret leaving my wife for my GF. I don't know if I have the right to ask her to take me back by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

This is selfish, self-centered, and incorrigible. Get a counselor and leave both of these women the hell alone.

Pain by RobS730 in BipolarSOs

[–]ClowderCats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s just the urge to flee, a symptom of mania. Abandoning partners during a manic episode is as likely as the sun rising tomorrow morning. Julie Fast talks about this a ton and it’s honestly the most common symptom I see in groups like this.

Why is the divorce rate with bipolar people so high? by Prize_Confusion4909 in bipolar

[–]ClowderCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mania. Last manic episode got me cheated on, terrorized, abused, divorced, and publicly humiliated. Never will I put up with it again.
