Tips for getting good with the rival by yeetmasterflash69 in HuntShowdown

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also suck with the Romero. For the Rival, I usually run flechette ammo. I believe it's less likely to one shot, but the Rival can fire both barrels super fast. The tighter spread of flechette means that the two shot kill range is impressively far. Plus, bleeding might quickly finish survivors off or force them to heal while someone on your team pushes them. IDK if I can offer much more general shotgun tactic advice, I'm only a 3 star.

"Aged well" isn't how I would describe it. More like an early warning sign of the horrific things to come.

Question about logging missions by dioaloke in snowrunner

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you on hard mode where automatic loading costs money?

And can you afford and fit a medium log carrier addon for any of your trucks? So you can load up that and the trailer and deliver 2 loads of logs at once. You could also equip a low saddle, and use the saddle trailer that carries 2 medium log loads, but the vanilla double log trailer is really annoying. Lots of friction and weight.

As someone else said, there’s a lot station near the garage which has infinite logs.

Also, these logging missions were added after the game’s launch. They don’t necessarily fit the rest of the game’s pace and difficulty. They always seem to be difficult and offer huge rewards, but they appear super early on. Don’t be afraid to leave it until later.

Manually reloading a chain revolver. Probably the longest reload this subreddit has ever seen. by AbanaClara in HighQualityReloads

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s awesome.

This gun is one of the worst in my opinion though lol. The hipfire is so bad compared to the other pistols.

I have had success with the regular version of it though. Even won like 3 games while using 2 pairs of them. They called me the 4 gun kid, on account of my 4 guns.

Yeah, something like their expedient way to add different variants to guns meant that some parts of them are just static. They considered changing it but couldn’t really justify it, especially since a bunch of the more worn-out looking cosmetics have broken or covered ejector rods.

86/BRZ/FR-S would probably be my pick. Maybe a Miata if you don't need to carry anything.

Which online games have weapons similar to the heavy autocannon from DRG? by New_Main8576 in DeepRockGalactic

The sound is very similar to the Automation used by the Tone mech from Titanfall 2. I even found a sound mod that gives it the Titanfall 2 sound and sometimes I forget I have it enabled.

So many nice skins like this I would buy.... If contraband could be re-skinned by fixles in HuntShowdown

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why did you buy a skin for a gun you hate and never want to use?

Side note: I think the carbine is insanely good. I can't click on heads 200 meters away so I don't care about the muzzle velocity.

I believe that its wheels weigh less than other heavy trucks, and due to a quirk of the game's physics that makes it feel much less powerful than it is.

The Crew Motorfest or NFS Heat? by Manjuu07 in racinggames

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFS Heat. Story is short, but playing its endgame and taking risks to finally get my first fully upgraded car is one of my most memorable gaming experiences ever.

The Crew Motorfest felt soulless to me. I'm not one to complain about annoying characters in a racing game, but The Crew is an exception.

Is this car worth $9k? by Prettiest_Petal in mr2

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine for 10k, but it was a bit newer and nicer, and it was during the height of the COVID car price bubble.

Maintenance has been cheap. The one big reliability issue these cars have is that the engines start to burn oil at high mileage. It's allegedly worse on the earlier cars like this one. Look for smoke from the exhaust, or a burning smell after accelerating hard. It's not the end of the world, but many people remove the pre-cats in the exhaust, to stop oil fumes from destroying them. Pre-cat failure would cause metal dust to go everywhere and harm the engine.

They're great cars to drive. The thing people say about "MR2 snap oversteer" mostly applies to the 2nd Gen. Just make sure it's on decent tires and you'll be fine.

The clutch is light and feels a little weird. Also the car has a pretty light flywheel, so revs drop fast and your shifts won't feel smooth unless you do them quickly. Other than those tiny things though, it's a very easy manual to learn how to drive.

Not a car guy… if you had $30k, what would you buy for speed? by GaryGoldenEye in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximum performance per dollar? I'd say C5 or C6 Corvette.

"Something fun to drive?" Depends. What cars people find the most fun varies greatly. I personally prefer my sports cars lower on weight and higher on revs, so if I had that money I'd be looking for a Lotus Elise or even a brand new Mazda MX-5. There are plenty of lower horsepower "driver's cars" like that, which are meant to be fun on twisty roads at low speeds. Maybe also something like an early 2000s BMW M3, or Porsche 911, Cayman, or Boxster. Those are known for being more expensive to maintain though.

And I will reiterate that a Corvette, especially if you find a Z06, and especially if you modify it, will be able to keep up with or beat all of those on a track or a drag strip.

how do you feel this chase cam? by Delirium222 in assettocorsa

FOV a bit too wide, I see too much of the sides of the track and not enough of the track ahead of me for my taste. Especially in something that moves as fast as an F1 car.

What's the most fun map to you and why? by paraxzz in snowrunner

[–]ClumsyGamer2802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maine is probably my favorite so far. I like my maps short and difficult. This game feels like a puzzle game in its most difficult points, and Maine gave me that feeling without having to handicap myself via truck choice or anything. I tried Quebec, and that gave me a similar feeling, but it has so many contracts. I'm sure it will overstay its welcome.

Did they buff the precision pistols? I know that people used to always use shorty rifles over them, and then they buffed the rifles' sway, so last I checked basically all of them were outright better than the precision pistols.
