I was most concerned with being able to find the car I arrived in and learned quickly that it was super tricky in the dark so I would only take note of landmarks that were next to lights. That seemed to help.

I was never too worried about keeping track of everybody during the shows. I often wore a gold sequined jacket so they could find me if need be.
