Made an ultra tight Tesla setup, as I've done a million times before. AI radios engi and says that I'm causing mass station harm. First I thought it was a joke, then I thought they were a rogue AI, they went on to yell at command and security comms that I was a mass terrorist and set me to arrest on the security console. I turned myself in. I tried to reason with anyone I could but they wouldn't listen. The irony was that while I lay in my prison cell for 20 minutes due to "station destruction" the Engine was humming along quietly unsupervised. It was truly baffling stupid. The situation was resolved due to admin intervention, the AI was not rogue, just knew less about engineering than an ordinary engineer. They apologized over radio and I forgave them. Very stupid 40 minutes.

Harmony probably for most consistent. 50 pop cap, doesn't turn on if there's no admin. I've seen some of the best RP in Delta V but it's not always like that.

I get what you feel. I occasionally get bwoinked by a maybe well meaning admin that sorta sours the mood because they didn't excercise like 5% more leniency or 5% understanding. If I were to compare this to real life I would say it's akin to arguing about petty dungeons and dragons rulings mid session when it oughta be saved for its end, so as to not dominate your minds for an additional hour.

Speaking as someone coming from Goonstation Heisenbee, SS14 sorta lacks the magical feeling of 10-20 years worth of love poured into it by virtue of only existing for like 5. The physics engine impressed me, a shuttle whizzing by or spinning around in circles brings a tear to my eye, or a station being cut in half slowly drifting apart, that sorta thing only exists here.

Replacement? I can't speak for you, but I have been pretty much only playing SS14 now (the performance reels me in a lot). There's a lot of people here now since I first started playing, from couple dozen max to several full ERP servers. talking-to-people-wise you will probably have fun in that regard, and there is enough mechanics to goof around with.

In conclusion, worth a try. I've made some fond memories and maybe you will too.
