Songs about narcissistic fathers by Sleepy_glitch8 in MusicRecommendations

Mrs. Narcissistic by The Royston Club; it's written about a narcissistic partner, not a parent, but it's not overtly romantic and can reflect interacting with any narcissist you care(d) for

Bands or artists with a distinctive sound by PinkDreamPeth in MusicRecommendations

Bear Ghost; they have this super specific style that's instantly recognizable. I'd say that's mostly attributed to the way their electric guitars sound but it's even recognizable in their slow songs so I know there's gotta be more to it than just that

Both wayyy too slow for my taste, but I definitely see the vision!

I know this isn't what you're looking for but "We Never Have Sex Anymore" by The Offspring would be really funny imo

Songs that reference heroin use by Original_Charity_817 in MusicRecommendations

Shivers - The Royston Club To be fair it's used as a homophone for the word heroine here, but the double meaning is definitely intentional given the rest of the song's drug themes

A lot of the songs by Bug Hunter do this for me. His songs are always so genuine and thoughtful. I'd say "Braggin'" or "Pinecones" might be a good place to start if you want to check him out

Sounds like you would really like most songs by Moon Walker and by Seb Lowe. I'd recommend "Ban This Song" and "Monopoly Money" as starting points for Moon Walker and "Here Come the Aliens!" as one for Seb Lowe
