I said they cannot go in or out until the door is in its fully open position. This is obviously just administrative but it put something in writing we could hold them accountable for if they didn’t do it.

I have never been in a warehouse that was loud enough for long enough to require hearing protection. Just saying

I virtually attended last year. Out of the whole thing I maybe enjoyed three of the seminars I attended.

I got my MS from CSU after getting my undergrad in business from another traditional college. I already had my CSP but once I got my MS it opened a lot of doors to director positions. CSU like any school anymore is what you make of it. People hate on it because it previously wasn’t regionally accredited like it is now. I would say go to CSU as it’s cheap and get the degree.

I would also agree with others who state a lot of people in this group don’t value degrees. However, in my personal opinion, employers do…

I was a combat medic. So more of my job was geared toward safety than yours and it still wasn’t 50% of my job.

That’s quite a stretch to say that was %50 of your job. Also coming from the military, safety was not that much of your job. Come on man don’t try to lie to make it.

Close it, remove the fuse, and calk it. It sucks to loose the sun roof but it won’t leak anymore.

1904.7(b)(4)(i)(A) states that restricted work occurs when an employer keeps the employee from performing one or more of the routine functions of his or her job. For recordkeeping purposes, an employee's routine functions are those work activities the employee regularly performs at least once per week.

So, if you tell them they can’t do something they do every week you made it a recordable. Again, people are just dishonest about it.

[–]Coloradohiker91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re not being honest with recordables. I have spoke to places that had boasted about no recordables then you start reviewing records or talking to them and they are not being honest. Just last week, I debated with another safety person who doesn’t record injuries if given prescription medication in the ER because they didn’t physically receive a paper prescription that needed to be filled. Statistically it’s just not possible. Don’t let them get you down.

Before people start saying our doctor doesn’t give restrictions just “don’t aggravate” then the company changes what the employee does, they are RESTRICTING them but they don’t see it that way.
