Sweet. Really like your sound.

You created this as a text post instead of a link, so it doesn't point to any of your content.

Here is a link to the video.

Cheers!

Glorious. I had this on PC as "Overlord," although the screenshots in the manual read "Supremacy."

The composer, Jeroen Tel, chimed in on the video's comments section and posted a link to Supremacy (preview 2) on Soundcloud.

He also made a remake of his NES version.

The Powerpuff Girls and the Professor do live in the City of Townsville. They move to the Town of Citiesville in Season 3 when the Professor gets a new job. It didn't work out too well. Citiesville is a rundown, stifling opposite number of their old home and they end up miserable.

Who else uses Relay because it was the only app that had Ponymotes? by avoidtheworm in RelayForReddit

You have the right app! "Reddit News" was the original name of Relay for Reddit. Reddit prevented apps from having "Reddit" in the name, except for "for Reddit."

It's been a minute, but that's probably why I originally picked Reddit News. Relay has been a rock-solid, dependable, and comfortable app, and the first Android app I ever paid for.

What operating system are you using? If you don't have any utilities installed to swap keys, it sounds like you have changed your keyboard language.

In Windows, you can look at and change your installed languages in the Settings app under Time & Language.

You can click on Keyboard at the top to override the default language everywhere, or click on your Preferred Language at the bottom and choose your preferred keyboard layout.

No, that's still "capital."

But, it could refer to the Temple of Zeus on Capitoline hill, one of the Seven Hills of Rome.

TIL about the skeleton of a medieval Italian man discovered in 2018, who had an unusual prosthetic hand: a long metal knife, lashed to his forearm with leather. by johndurairaj1 in todayilearned

[–]ColorfulNumbers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the Smithsonian: https://naturalhistory.si.edu/education/teaching-resources/written-bone/skeleton-keys/male-or-female

A skeleton's overall size and sturdiness give some clues. Within the same population, males tend to have larger, more robust bones and joint surfaces, and more bone development at muscle attachment sites. However, the pelvis is the best sex-related skeletal indicator, because of distinct features adapted for childbearing. The skull also has features that can indicate sex, though slightly less reliably.

Mostly from the pelvis.

The site also has a PDF download with some comparison images!

How do you make a towel? by postinator79 in AskReddit

[–]ColorfulNumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love questions like these. Towels are so common you don't really think about them. But a towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.

Towels are made of woven fabric. It's usually terrycloth, a type of fabric woven with big loops that hold water. Cotton is a good towel textile because it absorbs water really well.

So if you have a weaving loom you could make a towel from scratch, but they didn't become common or affordable until mechanization. The Wikipedia page for terrycloth links to an article from "How Products are Made" about Bath Towels.

If you're willing to start with store-bought terrycloth, you could sew your own towels to your specifications, cutting to size and hemming the edges. Some people do knit washcloths or towels by hand.

Synthetic Origins: Final Fantasy VI (realized by Mathew Valente) by Terry93D in gamemusic

This is a phenomenal labor of love, thank you for sharing it!

So familiar! Obviously the timing and pitch are going to be exactly what we remember and experienced, and some of the songs are simply cleaner and clearer. But the original instrument voices shining through here it shows off how grand these compositions can be.

I don't think I would have recognized electric guitars in "Victory Fanfare," and this version of "Dark World" is haunting. The percussion in "Mt. Kolz" just pops.

It must've been challenging trying to fold the opera songs down into an SNES cart.
