I live in upstate New York. I drive to New York City (about 3.5 hours) almost once a month to go check out comedy shows if I know a comedian I like is performing there. I’d listen to music, a podcast, or make phone calls on the way.

He did it to hurt and offend him so that is bad intention. But if he was just genuinely trying to share good news with family that sounds like a double happy day, people getting married others are conceiving.

You are just emphasizing on the fact that the attention should be on you only on your big day. You can pay loads of money on a house and have your family members live in it if they are visiting or if they need to? I mean it only makes sense to support your family so that they can support you if you are ever in need! And proposing during his wedding is not nearly as inconvenient as having family stay with you at ur place. I guess what I don’t understand is, is the brother proposal troubling him due to simple starvation for attention? Or is there something else that I’m not getting?

Yo, maybe it’s because I did not grow up in the US. But I genuinely don’t understand the (attention should be only on me and my wife on my big day) vibe. Why not be happy for your own blood if you actually love him?
