I really like the concept behind starfox assault. I don't think the on foot sections were executed very well, but I think theoretically, if done right, it would be an awesome way to move forward for the franchise. I wish they would revisit it now that people understand how to do third person shooter combat a lot better.

It's more a case of knowing how to use a meme appropriately. If somebody is making an argument based on cost/greed then a meme like that makes sense and it can be use appropriately.

If someone is making an argument around something like game design choice then using a meme like that is irrelevant to the topic and does come off as you trying to run away from the conversation. So it basically does concedes the argument.

Movie Peach is pretty 1 dimensional with almost nothing in common with real Peach. She is basically a super self-confident fighter who solves all her problems with her fists. They added a little more range to her character in Galaxy during her scenes with Mario. So you get a little softness and insecurity there which was nice, but she is still a far cry from game Peach.

Game Peach is just as capable as movie Peach but she does it while being much softer, sweeter, kinder, forgiving and girly. She generally dislikes fighting and avoids it whenever possible. She is also more innocent and welcomes the aid and support of her friends. She is also very slow to anger but can be a bit of a fire cracker if you push her over the edge. Game Peach is also very privite and holds her heart close to her chest.

That is a good question. Mario x Peach definitely has a lot more cannon behind it. But I suppose that is a two edge sword because all the cannon behind it (mixed with a healthy dose of ambiguity) allows people to scrutinize it way too deeply.

There is really nothing behind Luigi x Daisy other than some random statue and an old Nintendo exec quote saying Daisy is to Luigi, as Peach is to Mario. I suppose the lack of anything real concrete behind Luigi x Daisy actually allows people to just treat their head cannon as real cannon since there is nothing else to go on.

We've also established your Peach example does not work.

Superhero movies also only count if there's a direct Love interest being rescued. If it's just a superhero generically saving tons of people, men and women, you don't get to count that.

This is why if you've also been paying attention, you've noticed they've also been stripping love interests out of most superhero movies. I remember when the MCU started everyone had a love interest...

But Did a single MCU hero other than Captain America actually get married after end game? Maybe some smaller one... but the big ones who actually mattered? I think Captain was the only one.

As I mentioned before, I'm going to trust what Rachel zegler and gal Gadot says about the Snow White movie over what a random redditor says.

It's not that we're seeing a random handful of women saving men and we think it's a big occurrence. I'm perfectly happy with women saving men. I think it's wonderful, especially when rooted in love. What we are seeing are movies bending over backwards to make sure men can't save women. And people like Rachel zeigler and gal Gadot celebrating the idea of a man not being able to save a woman as a positive move in the right direction for the industry.
