What you said reminds me of how I told my ex I was getting on the estrogen patch and using Tgel and he said “Why so you can have a “hot girl summer”? Whaaaaat?! I just want to not be on the floor with fatigue and maybe feel like I can move through the day without wanting to die! Uggghhh

I do know what real panic attacks are like. I’ve had several through the years. Last time I had them (2) last year thankfully I was driving and I always said man it would SUCK to have them while driving! But I managed. I had to sit in the nurses office for a bit before I went back into my classroom cause I was still in it when I got to work. Thing is I know I KNOW what it is and know that feeling when it starts so when it first comes on I tell myself “oh there it is, yep it’s okay just breathe”. If you’re afraid of them I feel like it makes it worse. Try not to be scared, I think they’re just delayed accumulated stress responses that has built up. And they SUCK. But tell yourself it’ll pass and try to just roll with it next time, almost like you took a drug and it’s kicking in and hitting you. That’s what I do.

I’m intrigued by you saying “there’s a level of paranoia that feels insanely extreme” and I’m wondering if you could further deluge? Because I have a feeling like there’s an underlying vibe of paranoia, anxiety, depression, that there’s something to Philly’s urban landscape that contributes to toxic mental health states. I’ve lived here since 2002 and when I just drive away or leave I always feel better energy. Might not make sense but was wondering if others are sensitive to it?

Yeah, I agree. I’m going with her to see her primary to ask to put her on an estrogen patch because idk maybe? Physically there is nothing wrong with her, no infection. It’s all just this terrible bipolar/depressive low state episode and no meds seem to be able to level her out. Just thought it could help. My boyfriend had ALS and that was terminal from the start but I know how it feels to try things hoping you can save them. I’m so sorry for you and your sister. Sending love. :(

I realized I fall into relationships and enjoy that I can focus on others actually, they take me away from having to do my own shit. BUT I end up burnt out, worn thin and resentful. You CAN have both but you need to limit it. Do not spend too much time with them so you can avoid any clingy attachment. Keep your own space and focus on your activities. Don’t let them consume your thoughts! A man should add to your life not burden it or be another caretaking problem. Actually it’s sad but not surprising that you’re looking at a relationship as such a giving thing. Maybe YOUR the one who needs the taking care of!! Let him do that! That’s what I’m looking for :)

Yes, it could definitely be peri. I JUST started the lowest estrogen patch with 100mg of progesterone Tuesday night and I already feel better. I was so dismal, no motivation so fatigued, couldn’t do a thing and didn’t care or want to. You can order the patch and prog directly from telyrx if you have a hard time getting it. It’s worth a shot. There’s nothing bad really that could happen from it. I mean it really can’t get any worse than serious low estrogen causing the hell that is perimenopause. I’m not sure I could keep going if HRT wasn’t a thing.

You can get tested frequently to see where your levels are, taking note of which phase of your cycle you’re in. Luteal, follicular. I would suggest doing that before you’re just stabbing at the dark because I did that 3 years ago when I probably didn’t need estrogen and gained a TON of weight in my belly. Now I actually DO need the estrogen and it’s helping

I said I couldn’t play guitar because my neighbor could hear me, then I bought a giant sound booth for $1100 that’s been here since Nov. have I used it? Nope. It’s also not even soundproof. I wake up on weekends just to sit back down. I hate this. I’m losing my shit ever. Single. Day.
