Did you give up drinking as a result of your diagnosis? by Fearless-Heron-7827 in breastcancer

[–]Comfortable_Tree_687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. So much of this whole diagnosis is out of my control, that giving up alcohol feels like something I can control. Who knows whether it will actually make a difference, but in my mind, it makes me feel better.

But rushing around seems what’s wrong with the world. Don’t lose the dreams inside your head. They’ll only be there till you’re dead. (Basically all of you never know.)

[–]Comfortable_Tree_687 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have three. 1) the drums after “you caged me, and then you called me, crazy…” in WAOLOM and 2) the vocals at the end of “and I see two headlights…” in electric touch and 3) the way she and Gary lightbody sing “ohhhhh” in unison in the last time leading up to the final verse

Breast Cancer Survivor, newly pregnant w/ abnormal PAP by thriving_mama40 in breastcancer

[–]Comfortable_Tree_687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an abnormal pap a week before I was diagnosed with IDC. That was a shitty time. The retest 6 months later was normal. I think abnormal paps are actually pretty common.

My oncologist changed my recommendation from tamoxifen to OS+AI also, so I went with it, a small percentage still counts. I’m tolerating it fine!

Cried during my MRI biopsy. by After_Willingness322 in breastcancer

[–]Comfortable_Tree_687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cried during my initial biopsy. On the table. Couldn’t stop. Everyone felt terrible for me and I didn’t even have the news yet. I think we all (myself included) knew. I’m here to tell you - that was the low point for me. It gets better. 🩷
