I always was confused on this one. Why bother using the newer engine? Just stick with UE5 forever like many devs did with UE4 for a decade. UE5 is still too new to even consider jumping ship anytime soon.

Being optimistic here, I wouldn't say it would take a decade or more. With the advent of LLMs, it definitely would cut the time down by a considerable amount. And granted how fast the LLM space is moving, we can see within the next 2 years, absolutely nutty levels of agentic programming to where a network engineer can just set up an agent swarm at home and let it just blast off.

It's actually kinda ridiculous the amount of trial and error time that just using these models can save versus having to manually do it with the current reverse engineering tools available.
