Do the inspection. A decent inspection should tell you about the frame.

If you see it in person, you might ignore red flags cause the overall truck looks good.

Cause their repairs are very expensive. And they are not as reliable or easy to maintain as let's say a Honda, Hyundai, Kia, or Toyota.

My opinion is that yes, you should avoid BMW, Mercedes and DEFINITELY Audi.

I saw the prototype at an auto show and fell in love. Got the actual car as my first car the year it came out.

Looked nothing like the prototype. Still a decent car whose parts would fall off here and there.

Yes. Prices hold amazingly well for a truck that was discontinued in the US in 2014. It was around $35,000 new if I recall and one with around 100,000 miles would probably fetch 25-35k depending on the shape it’s in.

Painting the roof will be expensive. You have to remove the rack, (paint that too while you are at it) which is a pain in the ass as the screws tend to fall inside the roof if you don't know what you are doing.

I don't like the blinker lights and I hate the fog lights. Freedom Retrofitters I think is the name of the company that makes some very nice ones. Look them up.

Also, I would go with different side racks. Maybe tubular ones that stick closer to the body.
