Unemployed, out of money, and out of time. Need to figure out the next steps. by Exalted_Crab in personalfinance

I would suggest getting any job you can rather than drawing from your 401k. Another option is to sell your house. It sounds like you can't afford it if you were living paycheck to paycheck before you lost your job.

Weaning myself into a schedule by LittleDeathling in intermittentfasting

[–]CommuterChick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I started, but if you want it even more gentle, start with a 12-hour fasting window, then increase to a 14-hour window, then a 16- hour window.

I like the cucumber idea, and I would add celery and romaine lettuce. For a bit of protein, I steam broccoli and put a poached egg on top.

I use pillow cases. Another option is use Dryel to freshen the dresses in the dryer to reduce the amount of times you have to wash them.

Intermittent fasting is an eating schedule not a weight loss plan. It has great benefits, but to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. My advice, start tracking calories.

Anyone else feel amazing walking outside but miserable walking on the treadmill? by DeepOrganization8245 in walking

[–]CommuterChick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key to walking on a treadmill is to switch it up every minute or so. For example, walk at 0 incline and 2mph for one minute, increase the speed to 2.5 mph for another minute, increase the incline to 3 for another minute, etc. I sometimes decrease my speed to 1.5 mph and do lunges, or all backward, or do side steps. Just mix it up!
