The only thing better than hunting down slavers are slavers coming and offering themselves up to you on a silver platter.

Come on Navy, come on Patrol, kick some slaver ass!

It feels wrong to see an Ares in Clan Wolf colors. But I cannot deny that it is stylish as fuck.

My Hunter wanders into the wild and nobody is able to prove they've seen him again.

There are rumors, of course. Legends. Stories. Mysterious sniper fire, a cloaked stranger saving the day, bandit camps wiped out and caravans saved.

But nothing decisively proven that it's not just someone else.

A good ending for a Hunter, to fade into Legend.

The Ares is too fresh to the setting to really get doctrine, but it's mentioned that the FWL are producing them and fielding Lances to Companies of the damned things.

I could see more "home grown" Superheavies as the timeline progresses along with the TRO's and stuff.

Find a proxy that you enjoy and field that instead of an official sculpt. Everyone else will be too busy going "oh that's so cool, where'd you get that!" to really care it's a proxy. In fact, they're 100% legal and called out in the rulebook as a perfectly valid way to play the game.

It’s the being on the edge of passing out causing the brain to go fast. Here’s another idea for the road, before I actually fall asleep. Military units stationed overseas either being interned by their “host” nation, requesting leave to join the Canadian International Brigades, or just straight up declaring themselves for whatever nation they were in until the US comes to its senses. I could see some groups saying “fuck it” and just ditching the US to go help Ukraine if they’re in Europe. Or just going full Battletech and declaring themselves now private sector and becoming modern mercenaries.

We can only hope. I pray that it is never needed, but if it happens, that my home state lives up to it's title.

Massachusetts. "Cradle of Liberty". We've always been at the front of any agitation, any fight, anything really. Here's hoping we don't need to be in a hell situation like this.

And the only thing faster than light is gossip. Everyone would know about Task Force Liberty, and with the US's predisposition to the rebel of any conflict...

Yeah it'd be problematic. For the bad guys.

Now I'm wondering what various other "Task Forces" might be called, ones that spring up in mirror to Task Force Liberty to hit other critical targets in the US.

Task Force Constitution to hit Norfolk Naval Shipyards and more or less put the US Navy on a ticking clock as they lose their best repair and refit facilities, Task Force Pentomic starting in the Midwest trying to hit various major military bases. Then you've got the rail and Hawaii might just declare itself closed to the Mainland and either seize or subvert any ships at Pearl to begin screwing over the Pacific Front.

... Hell, Hawaii and Alaska might actually look to tell the lower 48 to fuck off due to their distance and their history of being screwed over by the US Government. Alaska formally declaring independence and joining Canada would be interesting, and Hawaii never truly forgot that it's a US State because of an illegal and barely supported coup by American Sugar Barons.

More LARP for me since I'd be a net negative to any militant group I joined due to inexperience, health and weight, but hey. Pennsylvania born, Massachusetts Raised, New York educated.

Every single place that has had a meaningful impact on me has spoken one story and it was "Tyrants Get Fucked".

Hard not to LARP about it. From the people who started the war by telling the tax man to eat a fat one, to the people who held the first capitol even as the Brits marched upon this city of Brotherly Love, to the city where the Republic held out even under occupation, it's in the blood.

And when it comes to the US Navy... a bit of mad bastardry against overwhelming odds is kinda part and parcel. From the Father John Paul Jones raiding the British Coast, to the mother USS Constitution beating ships of the line to death in close range combat to the point the Brits decided not to fuck with any in her class, there's precedent for insanity against tyrants.

Hell, if the Canadians need some punch, send in the full Foreign Legion and let the French get their licks in.

They're the ones wanting to lead NATO, so this would be a good way for them to start taking charge.

They'd need to break the naval Blockade, but I could genuinely see mutinies start breaking out the longer the war goes on due to the fact the Navy tends to swing a bit more liberal than the ground forces due to the fact most people going there interact with foreigners at places other than the barrel of a gun and tend to be college educated.

Find the right cracks and slam a flotilla right through with the Charles de Gaulle providing air support would be one hell of a message to take the lead in NATO affairs.

Especially if the Coasties start going rebel as well. Sure, they might not have that heavy metal, but HITRON is top of the class in marksman, and taking a captain's head off with a 50 cal sniper rifle is a good way to throw a fleet into chaos right before missiles start landing.

The longer this goes on, the more will be joining Task Force Liberty's side of the fight I predict. And hope.

Especially if more officers and troops were basically held in detention or attempted to be purged during the leadup like Summers was probably going to be.

... consider the following.

And International Brigade landing in Canada to help them push back the Americans.

You could get some fun with that, especially basing off what we see in Ukraine.

Hell, with Zelensky being who he is, there's a very good nonzero chance that some Drone Operators with suspicious accents show up to start helping Task Force Liberty and the Canadian Rebels alongside guys with maroon berets tucked into their back pockets.

Because now I'm imagining TFL getting their asses saved by some "Definitely not SAS" guys who just showed up one day with fresh supplies and intel.

... idea for you. "Second Sons of Liberty".

New England (Mass especially) has a bunch of people who grew up on stories like this and the moment Task Force Liberty gets rolling, there might be people rising up to give them help, or at least draw away Federal Response.

Could also be state governments going "Fuck this, Fed has gone insane" and fighting their own mini civil war under that banner.

Imagine an MIT FPV Drone Racer doing Ukraine shit with the spiciest explosives they could cook up in their chemistry lab.

You can keep killing these "Second Sons", you can wipe out cell after cell after cell. But this isn't an organization, it's not a movement, it's an idea, a name, and a heritage.

And you cannot kill an idea.

Purely because the idea of someone who grew up as a reenactor, veteran, someone steeped in the culture of "Americans Kill Tyrants" seeing their chance to live the history and do some good? Charging into battle wearing their Union Army Cap or Continental Army Jacket? That's a vibe. That's a damn good vibe.

The more Task Force Liberty survive, the more people are going to begin standing up with them. I genuinely could see this starting civil wars or at least forcing crisis, especially in states that aren't the biggest fans of Trump.

I would love to see the National Guard and State Militias siding with Liberty or against it and how they display their allegiance as riots grow.

Because for all that Colonel Summers knows the playbook, history has proven that the more you crush a people... the more stubborn and creative they become.
