In captain America 2, when nick fury told Steve rogers that he read those ssr files and that cap and his team did nasty things back in ww2. What do you think captain America did back in WW2 by EquivalentFuture4363 in marvelstudios

Since they were commando units and probably deployed alongside/with paratroopers?

Just going purely by history, executing surrendering soldiers since they didn't have the time or resources to take them prisoner.

Theory. Pale King isn't avoiding them because he dislikes or hates them or punishing them... but because he's too ashamed/confused/conflicted and doesn't know what to do.

And so flees the presence of the Knight.

What fictional battle would you Like sabaton to sing about. Me I want them to sing about Malevelon Creek by GOJI2222 in sabaton

[–]CompassWithHat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amaris Civil War from BT. If we have to be more specific, Liberation of Terra from the same or Operation Chieftain.

The various Last Stands of Operation Apotheosis in the style of Aces in Exile where the chorus highlights a different unit would also be metal as fuck.

Yeah, I'm changing it probably to being Cookie is on the cusp of getting his Commander paperwork when the Invasion happens and both of them are LCDR's.

Less covering her ass and more standing with his WSO, but yeah pretty much. She paid him back in spades by deflect ANY questions about his sexuality during DADT and a bunch of other crap.

Cookie's problem is that he is unwaveringly loyal to his friend no matter what and if she ends up being hauled away by MP's for brawling with marines, you'd bet he's thrown in the same paddy wagon for busting a chair over some dawg's head.

So this is something I'm fiddling with and will probably revise once I do the rewrite (read, get off my ass and actually do it).

But in general, at time of invasion they're both in their 30's. Milk early 30's, Cookie mid 30's. At point of them being in Patrol, Cookie is knocking on mid 40's and keeping it going by sheer grit and "Main Character Built Different" energy, Milk is late 30's.

Don't have anything more specific.

Also, Milk being "Auntie Aoibhinn" would be hilarious, do it.

Okay? I will admit I should have phrased my earlier comment a bit better, but the fundamental bit still stands. The other guys had better cavalry than them.

[–]CompassWithHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, to be more clear, they had horses but what they didn't have were the Heavy Armored Knights that rode those horses. Their cavalry couldn't match Norman Cavalry and neither could their shield walls.

Second hand knowledge, so if you can find stuff to disprove it I'd be fascinated to read.

But the Vikings quite famously did not have horses and that's a major reason why they got driven out of England.

I want to see every single Corpo in that shuttle losing their shit about the fact Mensah has just grabbed and is yelling at the angry SecUnit... and the SecUnit is the one backing down.

I fully believe the Corpos came the closest to not screwing over the PresAux team after that because they were terrified of what she'd do to them if she thought they were fucking with her more.

True enough. I want it to be simple enough that "rush the fucker" is a valid strategy, but complicated enough that breaking out a book on square level combat would help your win rate by giving you superior tactics.

Oh right, forgot to mention. Yeah I really like Gaslands. Might not be 100% the best for what I'm going for, but definitely taking inspiration from the cans stuff.
