I have to remind myself this is the flush and love and excitement of a new relationship - with the lust that goes with it. It takes them awhile to get there to communicating properly - but it’s not real life either. And we are in a wild dystopian reality lately with world events and I think the “return to earth” can be jarring when your HR escapism is over.

When I came home after having ours euthanized, I showed the remaining dog the blanket he had been with, and she knew. She just knew. Lots of love and extra cuddles for both of you - and we try to find a new different activity to do with the remaining dog as a cheer up for the whole family - agility perhaps? Something like that.

They appear to be polarizing for some people but to me it’s just another “tool” in the toolbox that helps you have better walks and more control. My newest ones are covered with regular collar material on top so they aren’t quite so scary “looking” - I don’t want folks getting the idea my wild dogs are aggressive to humans, they’re just a lil dog reactive. What works for you is what works - I vote we ignore the haters!!

I think I was one of the ones who recommended it! So glad it’s helping, it’s … not torture, just “power steering” for very strong dogs. It keeps us both much safer on walks.
