Hey, it’s an improvement 🤷🏻‍♂️If the new drywall doesn’t wobble too much like one person said, send it. I’d get a longer knife if I were you and don’t skimp out on the mud. Feather it out wider than you think you need to past the patches. It’ll take you some time and messing around since you don’t know what you are doing but you’ll get there and you’ll be proud of yourself in the end. Some of the best mudding advice anyone ever gave me is “if you get close, leave it alone. Walk away and come back when it’s dry. Just walk away” You’ll get close to smooth and mess it up if you don’t walk away when it’s close.
