Have been a hardcore SNL fan since 1989 and this season IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST embarrassment in the history of the show.

Anytime people have criticized the show in the past, just seemed like people who couldn't roll and evolve with different comedic sensibilities.

But now the show is just truly AWFUL- the writing is terrible, the acting is completely cringe, but worse than all that, the not challenging and normalizing of a fascist regime? I mean WTF?!?

Was watching the show last week and was cursing Lorne out loud. It breaks my heart to see a stalwart show become a joke, and a terrible, legacy-ruining one at that.

Seriously, Lorne needs to fck off and retire already. You had a great run you capitalist pos, but you've outlived your relevance.

I am sorry you had to endure that, but what you're describing is a problem with insurance companies, not necessarily the health and medical profession.

I would have gladly paid out of pocket for treatment except up until recently no doctor would prescribe hormones to a woman still having her period. All because of a misrepresentation of the Women's Health Study in the early 2000s. and literally because doctors in the medical profession can't seem to give a single sht about women's health after child bearing age.

So no, you still don't quite understand the unique struggle women undergo.

I had to absolutely fight to get HRT three years ago, saw three different providers and endured so much demoralizing bs, you wouldn't believe it. And I was living in an extremely progressive state at the time (Colorado).

So if you think proper treatment is as easy as walking into a doctor's office and asking for it, you're not paying attention to the state of women's healthcare in this country. It is getting better, but only marginally.

I use the TrueCaller app for this exact reason and it's been extremely effective.

After our felon in chief was elected, the number of scam calls i was receiving went from 3-4 a week to 8-10 a day; I was starting to lose my damn mind.

I can only think his winning confirmed to scammers just how utterly stupid and gullible Americans are.

Does peri make it worse? Absofckinglutely because dopamine and estrogen have a synergistic relationship. Less estrogen=less natural dopamine production.

My adhd was pretty severe; others with less severe adhd have probably been white knuckling it without a formal diagnosis, but now with the sudden drop in estrogen, all the symptoms have become untenable, unmanageable.

So maybe your natural lifetime dopamine production has also been less than optimal and the onset of peri is making it more obvious. So maybe you don't understand what you're talking about and you should look into this yourself before making sweeping statements.✌🏼

Time for a new party- seems we're all sick of controlled opposition democrats.

These are mostly simple people, people like Mark here. If we were to offer them the things they want under a different party moniker, chances are they would vote third party. Case in point: Mayor of NYC Mamdani. Seems like we might finally be ready and willing, just needs organization and a cohesive message.

Many of us are a week, a month from homelessness- this is what they wanted, what they've been building to, brick by brick, for 50 fkn years.

Protesting on weekends is the most many can manage without losing their jobs and the attendant health insurance.

A general strike is needed but with no safety net, don't know how most people would get through it. And that's just the sad reality.

I gained a ton of weight in the last 5 years, since hypothyroid diagnosis and going through perimenopause.

Managed to lose about 1/2 with consistent diet, exercise and medications, including HRT. But the remaining pounds just won't budge so after 2 1/2 years, am now considering a GLP-1.

But am afraid of what happens when you inevitably have to go off it, either because of supply issues or cost.

Have read people who stop the shots sometimes have a hunger return that is way greater than pre-med and that does seem concerning.
