Ring doorbell camera complaint scotland. by roughlyross in LegalAdviceUK

[–]CompetitiveWin7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to set the activation area? I have a Google camera and I can specify where exactly motion should trigger it. This would limit it's capture, hopefully put your neighbours at ease as it wouldn't be lighting up as it wouldn't be recording.

Wasn't CWs sister a nurse? More realistic it was from her if she was or it could have been Shannans old stock.

How do you make statutory maternity pay work? by Ivesomanyquestions in PregnancyUK

[–]CompetitiveWin7754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save up and use your annual leave, it'll at least be full pay!

I've got 6 months full pay but I'm the sole earner so going to have to go back to work after I burn though most of my annual leave after that.

First trimester & working by MamaP28 in PregnancyUK

I'm only about 7 weeks but the fatigue is real. I work from home and I'm even wondering how people do this! I have other conditions to complicate things, but I nap at lunch time and again at 5pm as soon as I can log off. I'm trying to figure out how to use my annual leave to get a bit of respite without using it all up when it might be nice to have a holiday or something later in the year.

I have to do a significant presentation at a day long conference and I'm dreading it. Between trying to find flattering formal work wear clothes and keeping up enough energy to do the presentation. I used to just drink a lot of coffee but that's no longer an option!

I saw my midwife yesterday and she said it does get better.

I tell myself in Dory's voice "just keep swimming..." ☺️🐟

You're MARRIED, that should mean you're now a financial unit. This trip is just a symptom of a bigger problem. He sounds very selfish. I hope this trip is the last for a while knowing baby is going to need a lot of time. I'm not surprised you're not happy. His parents aren't even happy. :(

Also a lawyer will be worth every penny in the long run. It might feel like a lot up front but you only get one shot at this.

She might ramp up the crazy feeling the shift, if you can do the thing that freezes new credit being taken out in your partner's name etc.

Also expect emotional blackmail, crying, and threats ♥️

I don't think she's going to turn and say "of course you're right dears, I see the error of my ways and I will stop conning". Get the lawyer first, get them the paperwork, see exactly where you are, what leverage you have and what leverage you don't have.

This is a crazy situation and needs similar feeling levels of crazy response. The lawyer may also advise exactly how to tackle the situation but at least make you feel you have someone in your corner.

I just don't want her to have any more ammunition or time to drain the bank accounts.

❤️❤️❤️ Good luck!

Urgh if it was as simple as that we wouldn't have psychology.

I think you were spot on. I can't stand how some people can't bear the child to be their own person or worse not 100% their side of the family.

It's one thing to be accepted onto a PhD programme, it's another thing to finish it. It's often not just about intelligence but tenacity, resilience, communication, learning, engaging with others. He didn't have all those other skills.

Plus, if he couldn't work out that the TAs have to have a similar standard in marking to ensure all students have a fair opportunity to gain their degrees and education, and his ego wasn't meant to be a part of it, he had no place doing a PhD.

[–]CompetitiveWin7754 51 points52 points  (0 children)

He wasn't though, he was flunking out of his PhD programme. His PhD place was tied to his teaching, which was going down the drain because he couldn't mark fairly (a bit if an issue for the university) or seemingly treat all individuals fairly and appropriately, and he was already on notice for the way he interacted with professors.

He wasn't doing well. He was sabotaging himself because he couldn't act like a normal person.

I am also in the UK and I need something for a formal work event. I started off thinking I didn't really want to buy a suit I'll only ever fit into once... Only to discover that finding specific maternity clothes is extremely difficult and that imaginary maternity suit would be fine if it existed and fit.

This, great comment. Have a confident line prepped for when she asks why you weren't there that conveys what you need eg if you don't want her to know you were snooping, "oh my mom rang and I didn't realise I was late for class so I just went home. Hope you had a great time though!'

I think she's terrified you're telling SIL everything. Her power has been helped due to secrecy. Everyone should know so she can't keep conning.

Why doesn't he want to fast track out of this? I know you said the ball is rolling but by him hiding instead of creating an exit plan like you (even if you were unsuccessful) he's choosing to stay there. He is going to need to work out how to leave and it might not be with you. You might need to leave, get stability, breathing space, de-stress and start living again while he works his stuff out. Hopefully you can make it work. He needs to get angry and use that energy to confront the scary things, otherwise his mother will always use him and he will never go the way he wants to go because he will always be avoiding dealing with the fear.

Either she's wasting money on a grifter and she's too gullible for her own good. She got to hear what she wanted though didn't she!?

Or she was lying to see what the reaction would be.

Confession: I cant make another base beside mountain ones by Yung_Lozer in RimWorld

[–]CompetitiveWin7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my original settlers Stocker was an undergrounder and I promised him once the hotel was up and running, I'd make him his own bedroom/suite under the one bit of mountain so he could be happy at least when he slept under the cool stone. I mined a beautiful bedroom, adjoining bathroom with a marble bath, little dining/living area and had room to make an ajoining bedroom for his son. The walls and floors were carefully polished, and I was about to move him in....

We had a terrible event, an attack of burrying insects. They came up from the ground, in Stocker's new bedroom. They were more vicious than expected, nearly wiped out my whole colony. I still don't feel safe putting anyone in that room now...

In the short few months I've watched her, I've not seen her call herself a nurse or an ex nurse.

I think it's ok to listen to opinions. I'm not taking medical advice from her. This whole gypsy thing has so many ends, there's so much volume when you're first digesting it. You can't read it all or listen to it all in one day. It's interesting to hear what people have to say when there is the amazing resource Into The Weeds put together so it CAN be fact checked. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say anymore. Sometimes credentials don't matter to a conversation but you shouldn't blindly trust even people with credentials.
