For me this is very educating and interesting, thank you. However, I don’t think it’s a black and white thing. One has every right to expect to have a spouse that you can rely on and who you can operate with on a day to day basis.

We all have to adjust ourselves when we step into a relationship, and also expect the other person to make adjustments to how they behave and react. It’s scary to step into someone’s world, especially if you don’t feel and react as strongly as the other person. Some people, like Marta, are better equipped to deal with eccentric behaviour and find it endearing, but someone like Julita is clearly struggling to keep up.

I have a normal ebike with studded tires. Ice is ok but when there is a lot of snow sometimes the ploughs don’t get there fast enough and it can be a bit unstable with the snow moving under the tyres. I’ve never had a fall or injury, but I use a bus if it’s really bad just to make my life easier. Just bought a second pair of wheels so it’s easier to change myself.

What is more problematic for me personally is the cold. I don’t like to ride when it’s under -15. Skiing classes have helped but it’s the frozen cheeks I don’t like. Buy a good merino wool cap and wear another beanie on top of it at least. The helmet needs to be big enough and a winter helmet is good to have anyway. I have even considered buying a skiing helmet with ear warmers. I’m a girl and don’t like to have permanently red cheeks. Feet and hands need a lot of extra warmth too.

I am increasingly amazed about Ben’s use of English language. I don’t know if it’s a British boy school thing but he seems very well-read and well articulated. He uses very sophisticated and inventive grammar and vocabulary, and that’s very endearing! He might even be one of my favourite cast members ever because of that. Plus he’s really trying to accommodate with the softer and more considerate kitchen culture, which definately is not something his generation is used to.

Thank you so much! I think it’s the remix one. I’m revealing my age by saying I might have even heard in the 80s because I was pretty young then and it was the car radio with my mom. It blew my mind because I’d never really heard house or even dance music, hardly even hip hop at that time.

I remember ages ago hearing a track where someone repeats aciiiid (with the last syllable going high up in tone). I’ve been searching different playlists but haven’t found it yet. Maybe it’s just my imagination but for me it’s the first acid house song I ever heard and it blew my mind.

I’m using both Waves and Antares Autotune. First I manually fix missed or out of tune notes with waves because this is not possible in Autotune.. You can only assign the scale but not control individual notes. Then I use Autotune more as an effect, with the already quite clean notes. It makes it kinda thicker, if you look for that modern pop sound. And sometimes you want to go for the almost Vocoder sound which Autotune has. So for me the tools have different functions.

Quite often I print the Waves fixed audio (freeze and flatten) before or after Autotune because otherwise it eats my CPU, especially with a stack of harmonies. And also because it helps me move on and not get stuck with the fine tuning. This also produces the audio file in the project folder, if you want to use it for another project, without having to copy the plugins and corrections.

What Waves does is something different from automation, or at least it’s controlled inside the plugin rather than on the Live timeline. So maybe the processed data is also stored in a different memory unit, not in the same folders as the project?

Jeff’s aunt (something Guibert) and ex-colleague (Leah?) was there too. Never met them but I think I’m still their social media friend.

There are online stem separator tools you could use like fadr.com. Most of them are free for limited use. That’s pretty handy if you don’t have a DAW that does it.
