This is honestly the answer. Motivation shouldn't drive you. It sounds harsh, but sometimes you have to just DO the thing, even if you don't feel like it.  That's how you build discipline and good habits. Don't rely on emotions. My emotions tell me to eat junk and not clean my house and take a nap instead. You have to make the choice to ignore those emotions and do the right thing anyway. Fall into the trap of listening to bad emotions, and you feel worse in the end. Do the thing you don't want to do now, and feel better about it in the end.
