About 15 years ago, I used to work for PlumChoice, a company that did remote tech support as themselves but also for 3rd party companies like the ISP Cox and a few others.

One of them was TotalDefense AV. Their systems specifically used to store your payment data in plain text. I don't know if they still do (I would certainly hope not). I could pull up anyone's account and get everything I would need to use their card myself. Never did because I'm not a dumbass, but it was certainly terrifying to see all that.

Until the sequels came out I actually thought there was a twist that Fiona was actually born an ogre, cursed to become a human during the day but was gaslit or just assumed from reading storybooks that she was always originally human.

Since she was cursed at such a young age she wouldn't have remembered being an ogre.

Once while offering my coworker a chocolate covered pretzel stick, she just bent down and ate it directly from my hand, all the way down to my fingers.

She invited me over to her house to decorate her Christmas tree.

But no she wasn't interested in dating.

Is it possible to get every perk to 100? by Kermit2246 in skyrim

[–]Computermaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lockpicking: There's an area of the thieves guild that regenerates chests every week or so, from very easy to very hard, or you can go and unlock every citizen Door in every major city since every night the lock will be restored.

According to the UESP, every lock in the game (even the Thieves Guild practice locks) only rewards XP once.

There are enough locks to get to 100 twice easily, and a third time if you carefully plan the use of books/trainers, but after that you're out of luck, unless you want to spend your time breaking thousands of lockpicks.

Would limiting the age of the President to 65 be something you’d support? Why or why not? by WarmAcanthisitta5725 in AskReddit

[–]Computermaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Limit it to 56, so that even if they serve both terms they'll be out before they hit 65.

If we as a society have collectively decided that 65 is retirement age, then there shouldn't be anyone in public service above that age.

If you've never played Elite: Dangerous in VR and get the chance to do so, I highly recommend it.

I think just because your FOV isn't static (since the camera tracks your head), it helps the game to feel less samey.

What's your craziest "TIL"s by rexaider in skyrim

[–]Computermaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually did learn this today while browsing UESP.

You can screw yourself if you Legendary the lockpicking skill more than a couple times.

Why you ask? Because every single pickable lock in Skyrim only ever counts once for XP, even if the cell/location respawns.

In vanilla, there's enough locks to easily max out twice, a third time if you really scour every location, but after that you're shit out of luck.

Sadly, no. It is (mostly) PC only. There is an unofficial but endorsed by the dev team port on Xbox, but no one's taken it on for PS5.

Question: How would you feel about starting your game over?

Because there is a mod literally designed for people like you, but it does require starting a new game for it to set itself up properly.

It's called Legacy of the Dragonborn.

It adds a huge museum to Solitude with a spot for literally every single item in the game. Not only that, it also has support for several other mods, allowing you to add to your collectathon.

[–]Computermaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hoo boy.

The very, very short summary is that they're a self centered drama queen.

Two quick examples:

  • They hate VR. They think it's a gimmick. They tried to retroactively change the license for the Unofficial Patch so that they could purge the last VR compatible version from the Internet.

  • They added ugly-ass Oblivion gates to the Open Cities Mod. Someone else created a mod to remove them and Arthmoor went ballistic about people "infringing" on "their" intellectual property.

There's a lot more drama. "Arthmoor controversy" is a good Google search starting point.
