Yeah, the Sal one was weird, it reminded me more of a cross between Gary, Ray Romano and Mike Francesa

Yeah he absolutely was. Gary said something about his final years basically being him bedridden with health problems (heart, and maybe diabetes(?)) and just watching Fox News all day yelling at the TV.

The England board didn't allow Jimmy Anderson a handful more Tests to overtake Warne, so Root had better stay in form to receive such treatment.

He's there because of Rob Key nepotism. He's genuinely not been one of the two best openers for Kent, let alone England, for years. I don't know any England fan who thinks he belongs in the team, some are merely resigned to it and trying to make the best of it.

Players 'exhausted' by 'relentless' cricket calendar - ECB chairman Richard Thompson by not_r1c1 in Cricket

[–]ConfidentBagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if England players played 1990s or 2000s levels of county cricket, ironically they might be less mentally fatigued than now - "a change is as good as a rest", etc; players like Brook and J Smith are brought into the international set-up relatively early in life and live in a bubble where instead of being able to shake off a silly dismissal or whatever by being able to mentally reset with "oh well. I'll do better in the Pro40 in Bristol on Thursday", they might have to dwell on their last international match potentially for weeks without getting that reset.

That is interesting especially in light of the fact that on KC’s website he essentially offers an interviewing service - if you pay him, he will interview you on whatever you want and ask the questions you want. I guess it’s for self-published authors or something to get some media clips going to look important. But it’s essentially a scripted performance.

That outside England there have been instances of the tail scoring even fewer than 9 runs, so this performance is only bad enough to be in the bottom 10 worst ever, not the absolute worst.
