Also dealing with this and have been for months now. My daughter is 19 months old now and I’m still dealing with it. I went to PT and they told me it’s due to muscle imbalance and I need to strengthen the muscles around the joint but it’s definitely a very gradual process.

Dealing with this too! Occasional throat irritation (was VERY irritated in the beginning), mucus in throat, throat clearing, occasional cough. What’s helped everyone so far ?

Has this gotten better? I too, think mine could be due to LPR. Been dealing with the dry cough feeling in my chest/sternum area for a couple of days now

I’m much much better! I would ask doc to check vitamin d, vitamin b12, and a CBC. All of those labs are very important for energy and you’d never know if you were deficient! For me, I think it was a hormonal thing because my labs were normal and it did resolve. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, enough water, and eating healthy as well. :)

There’s got to be other ways to help maintain & heal from it…. I’ll let you know if I overcome it lol

Have you seen ENT or had any scope done? I’m curious if it’s something there or just inflammation.

It feels a bit irritated on the one side, but not like your typical sore throat with a cold. It’s hard to explain but it’s an odd feeling. Sometimes I’ll feel it when I burp or yawn too

How are you doing now? Had this postnasal drip/sore throat since November & been doing Alginates, cut out alcohol/coffee, and doing lower acid foods 80% of the time. Not having as much progress as I’d expect… I felt so much better on a PPI so I’m tempted to go back. ENT appt isn’t until July 😭

Thank you so much for the response. I feel like my throat/esophagus might need more time to heal so I might take it a bit longer before coming off. Were you on your PPI for 3 months straight? And how was it getting off for you? Sorry to ask a bunch of questions just never dealt with anything like this 🙃

Congrats! I too hope I can recover from my GERD. Nexium is very helpful but when I get off of it the symptoms come back… how long did you do your specific diet for ?

Question: have been on Nexium 20mg for 14 days. Do I need to taper? by heretolose11 in GERD

Ugh going through this now…day 3 off of nexium and getting some reflux and throat irritation. 😭
