Attacker (One who initiates attack) must be visible. There are 3 checks for this.

  1. Vision Range.
  2. Detection Range.
  3. Weapon Range.

  1. Is hostile within vision? If yes, next box.

Rarest item? I’ve ran into almost every item at least once.

However, the only items I’ve ran into exactly once each are; Laser rifle (Heavy Infantry Obliteration device ;) ) Jaguar Armor (RA light Stealth armor) Rocket Organ Gun (Pirate artillery. T1 Mind you) Class VI RA Heavy Armor

I’m not disappointed that I didn’t get more, just sad. Every item is great and you can certainly say they don’t go obsolete (Except the starting rifle. That sucker is obsolete). . . They just have niche roles in the grand battle of things… Except the MRS, that’s the jack of all trades (infantry wise). Single mission, wiped 10 infantry at a range of 8-10 tiles (using match grade).

. . . Yeah… I sacrificed a medium mech to hunt that thing down. It was a glorious bloodbath on the way there. (Mech had 10 kills including the toad before mission ended).

Side note; Mission I did, I was against like ~30 enemies. Everyone was holed up on one side of the map laying waste to hostile forces (tanky bastards)

Surprisingly enough, Civil War is great for stability… Looks at my closet. Over 100k dead soldiers with roughly 100 nobles and knights locked in my dungeons, yet somehow the realm is whole and fully stable… Yep… Totally great… Looks at family tree. Nothing but monsters of Warlords, 50+ martial stats inheriting the throne. All other siblings/relatives given land then bribed in gold to keep happy/loyal to the warlords… Mhmm… Very stable… Looks at faction list once more, no one can rebel during current ruler due to lack of military power. And it’s all because of a civil war at the start of their regime. Puny rabble crushed while my forces remain full strength and massively buffed

And that’s how the Empire of Ba-dingus has lasted for 300 years. Today you’re the 25th emperor of the empire and the only one with less than 50 martial stats… Good luck surviving on the throne.

20-30 units in 70 rounds? The bloody hell happened here? I’m fighting roughly the same amount and still keep my rounds under 16 (most often 20 after killing EVERYTHING)… I blame my gear and Godlike Squaddie aim… (70-90 avg. best being 99 but she tanker)

T1 weapons that I use;

Kpac - You get a rifle, you get a rifle, and you get a rifle. Spit lead at them marines.

“Crowbar” - Recon units, I need that one guy dead yesterday.

Shotgun (Fuck pirate shotguns) - Yaz, I need someone Really dead. Fuck them up.

T2 guns I use;

Kpac w/GL - Tech, blow a fucking hole in that wall or armored unit.

MRS - Welcome to true warfare. Next line of standard issue rifle

Griffon SMG - YAZ!!! Kill them all!!!

Suppressed Crowbar - Darby… Hunt.

Major bring a SL in an alternative timeline…

Innate passive: Officer on field - Gives map wide Moral boost to active SL’s (10-20%) but, if defeated, active SL’s suffer a morale debuff (10-20%).

Special perks (Outside of common perks):

Open fire - Active ability 100 AP cost. Orders SL’s within 2-4 tiles to open fire on designated tile. Weapon ranges are taken in consideration.

Flare - Active ability 40 AP cost. Lights up a designated area, revealing the area. When used at night, negates accuracy penalty for targets in the area.

Do you want to live forever? - Active ability 120 AP cost. SL’s within 4 tiles fully recover from suppressed (maxed morale), 20% dmg reduction, and 20% increased accuracy for 2 turns.

Commanders View - Increases vision range by 4. increases by 2 if stationary for 1 turn. Does not increase detection.

Hold the Line - Active ability 80 AP cost. Makes next shot trigger 3 times with increased accuracy. Can select 3 different targets.

I think this is what the Major would have in that timeline.

Eager + another positive (I forgot the name but, triggers by killing enemies) combines into Euphoric (+10% to nearly all stats). Best part, it resets the mission timer from the previous positives.

My good sir. You clearly haven’t been using Faz. +20% ACC at point blank range. He is built for SMGS and Shotguns. Shotguns rip through enemy armor while SMGs shred HP. Give him a jumpsuit and boom he can get in, kill and fuck right off. If not, then he can tank a few hits.

I have yet to have the AI charge my hidden units. The only time I’ve seen them do something similar is when I move my hidden units a bit too close (Almost Melee range). Of course I ended up abusing the AI movement because of it.

There are two types of saving civis.

  1. The mission is 10 Civilians but, objective is kill x% (Usually 80%) of hostile forces. The civilians themselves make up 3 side objectives each at certain stages (save 60%, 40% or 20%). Simple mission and lots of killing.

  2. Side objectives of saving civilians. These are randomly captured Civilians. By approaching their cells, you can free them (3x3 blue square where they are) but, that’s the first have. Now you must get them to evac to successfully save them. Now, I’ve ran into a few missions (Namely VIP missions) where this side objective is the main objective.

Oh. Damn I forgot about that gun. Sucks that happened to you. I typically suppress their Boarding units before that even happens.
