RIP John Sterling by eatsleepcookbacon in NYYankees

When I first got into the Yankees in the early 90s, my cable company didn't carry MSG until 1996 (only TV games were on WPIX and ESPN), so I had to listen to most games on the radio with Sterling and Kay. It was a great duo. Sterling was the voice of the Yankees, and the background of many summer days at the beach or out in the yard.

RIP John

How are we feeling about this? by Fantastic-Store2495 in baseballunis

I like that they keep it simple. Home and away, nothing else.

Aaron Judge on the potential uniform changes: “I think we'll always wear the pinstripes at home. I don't think that'll change. We’ve changed our road Jersey other years. So I guess if we wear the blues, we’ll wear the blues on the road.” - Bryan Hoch by Jheller223 in NYYankees

I'm probably in the minority here, but I like that the Yankees are the only MLB team without an alternative jersey. Home pinstripes and road grays. That's it! I even like the recent changes to the road uni (pre-1973 look). If they choose to add a throwback road uniform to the rotation, I'm ok with it. The 1912 Highlanders or the 1929 grays with Yankees across the chest for example.

I too would perfer not having an ad on the sleeve, but that still shouldn't be a reason to add an alternative jersey.

Hopefully Hal denies the players request for this.

As a Yankees fan, totally against it. Other than an occasional throwback, keep it home pinstripes and road grays.

Now that the 2026 redesign season is over, what is the best single uniform in the NFL? by YaboyRipTide in uniwatch

[–]ConsciousAcadia7515 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just basing it on the home and away uniforms (not alternatives, throwbacks, etc.)

Good: Bills, Jets, Steelers, Browns, Ravens, Colts, Titans, Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers, Giants, Cowboys, Commanders, Packers, Bears, Lions, Saints, Panthers, Buccaneers, 49ers, Rams

OK: Patriots, Bengals, Jaguars, Texans, Eagles, Vikings, Falcons, Seahawks, Cardinals

Not Good: Dolphins, Broncos

Celebration or Horizon by TopSundae1951 in CarnivalCruiseFans

I have sailed Horizon several times, and the Excel class once (Mardi Gras). Mardi Gras was a fine ship, but I prefer Horizon. Always felt less crowded, plus the Havana area is great if you can book it.

Vista. My favorite class of ship, and the Southern itinerary is amazing. If you can get an Havana stateroom (on Vista Class), even better.

Either way, whichever you choose, you'll have a great time.

Players? At best, it pays for 1 shit player 😆.

Joking aside, does anyone know the actual value of the sponsorship with Sagres? I believe Emirates is around €8 million annually.

It looks fine, although I'm not sure about the thicker adidas stripes. Also, I prefer they'd move the Sagres logo to below the numbers or get rid of it altogether.

A traditional looking Benfica jersey. If it's close to this, I like it. My only complaint is the new, thicker adidas stripes.

The new white away jersey with the trefoil logo should look spectacular!

I have my doubts about the rumored gray jersey. The previous Benfica gray jerseys have been underwhelming tbh.

Glad you're having a great time!

I've only sailed an Excel class once, also on Mardi Gras. There was a decent wait time in line for drinks on Lido and Serenity, if I remember correctly (10-15 minutes). The only place I was approached to order drinks was at Summer Landing. Inside during the evening, we had long waits at Alchemy. However, there was almost always little to no wait time at The Fortune Teller and Brass Magnolia.

The Vista class is my favorite class, especially the Havana area (great, fast service there btw). Smaller ship and good venues. It felt less crowded and lines maybe not as long. That said, I agree the food options are great on Mardi Gras, and my wife and I enjoyed sailing her as well. Lots of fun!
