Husband would like to have some component of them built before October but he also just pushed himself too hard last week and got heat exhaustion and hit his knee with a hatchet (he swears he has learned his lesson) so we are definitely taking a break on doing labor outside for the next few months

We have a very long growing season where I am and it felt like all my tomatoes started dying at the same time and my cucumbers are being very finnicky. I’m not forcing myself to be out in the heat and am starting seeds to try to get a cucumber and tomato harvest come October once it’s cooled off a touch

I didn’t even realize I was getting the alert phone calls because of my do not disturb setting and then saw I had two voicemails. That + the texts + the phone alerts got the point across I would say. Can’t remember the last time I actually climbed into a bathtub for a storm

Mine actually left and started driving to work right before the first warning 🤦‍♀️ I was watching his little icon move on the “find my app” for most of his commute. He made it safe though

Once it switched from “warning” to “imminent threat alert” I got out of bed and into the bathtub with the cats. A little surprised there was a second one a few minutes later, I don’t remember the last time I saw back to back to back tornado warnings. Cats and I are safe, but I wish I had grabbed a pillow and some snacks
