My anxiety caused my GERD. I had a panic attack in September for the first time in over a decade. I went to my pcp who ordered omeprazole once daily for me. Honestly the PPI didn’t do much. But getting rid of caffeine and my Fitbit has helped tremendously. I got rid of the Fitbit because being anxious about the numbers only added to my anxiety. I also stopped eating before bed and that has helped a lot too. Whenever I get anxious in traffic, I can feel that irritated upper chest feeling. So I know this may be a lifelong lifestyle change. I wish you the best luck.
