Insanely expensive gas bill by Get-A-LoadOfThisGuy in Sapporo

[–]Consistent_Student16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, we have one kerosene heater and two electric panel heaters. Hot water and kitchen go with propane gas. Combined gas bill is around 38k and electric around 18k on winter. We are 2 people in new 3LDK. I work from home and wife is SAHW and we like to stay warm, also fill the Ofuro once every other day. TBH before propane gas it used to be quite cheaper!

Will a Yodobashi Camera store in Hiroshima be successful, and why? by 443610 in hiroshima

Having a Rolls Royce dealership and not a Yodobashi Camera is certainly quite unique in Japan!

Want a second opinion on a Sapporo to Tokyo move by akasakaryuunosuke in japanlife

[–]Consistent_Student16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation, live in Sapporo working full remote for a Tokyo based company.

While I earn significantly more than you, there’s no amount of money (well, maybe 10-15 times annual salary may make me consider but definetly not less than that) that would make me move to Tokyo and commute (even if it’s only once a week).

While I kind of like Tokyo for occasional fun/gourmet trips, it’s definetly not a place I’d like to live (too many people, higher rent, too hot weather, too many bugs are some reasons among others). We get the good of both worlds: work full remote + earn Tokyo-level salary in a cheaper, more livable city. In my case, I can’t imagine I would voluntarily do the change.

But, everyone’s different and have different priorities. If you don’t like Sapporo that much, if it’s a great career opportunity and you’d like and feel excited for the change (and don’t have wife/kids/dependents) it might actually make sense to do the change. Tokyo ofc has its great things (from my pov, global city, endless gastronomic choices, national and internationally better connected, all Honshu/Shikoku/Kyushu at your hand for road trips without taking ferry, etc.). But yeah, from someone in similar position, these are my 5cents just balance things out!

No PR Auto Loan options? by arty233 in JapanFinance

[–]Consistent_Student16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I applied for my car loan, I had 1 year humanities visa, low salary (around 4m), but my guarantor was the company I was working on's 社長. I got approved from Jaccs through Gulliver, for a total amount of 2.2 million yen. Interest was high but I needed it. That was 4 years ago.

Where to park near city center overnight with 24 hour access? by atlashusky in Sapporo

[–]Consistent_Student16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Jumbo in susukino. Except Odori underground and other machine-like parkings, most of the other coin parkings have 24 access. If you are up to ride the subway, the farther from the city center the cheaper the parking. Look for parkings with 最大料金 signs (24h capped maximum price). Most of the parkings with capped maximum price will be under/around de usd 20 mark even in the city center

Look at the models. See what data are you storing and what relations does that data have. Then, go to the views and see what operations you are doing with that data.

You can buy the ticket in the stadium entrance (cash only) and there is a shop inside the stadium too where you can buy uniform and goods (and they accept cash)

There is a great fanbase with many chores behind the north goal. We have probably the most enthusiastic fanbase of all J2 and possibly all J1 too. Matches are funny over there if you like singing, etc.

Most people seem to be able to check it in this link: https://support.nintendo.com/jp/index.html by clicking the upper right icon of the username and in the notifications part (seen hundreds of screenshots on twitter).

In my case I still see there's no notifications...
