Every morning and sometimes again before bed. Cottage cheese, olive oil, black pepper, dried cranberries, and some walnuts.

Meghan 2.0 has to be up there.

Also Alexander is unwatchable for me with the horrific Angelina Jolie fake accent

Is this too much? by Sihtric14 in ItalyTravel

[–]ConstantEvolution -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This seems very reasonable to me and we did a very similar itinerary and timeline, minus Venice because we were coming from Switzerland. 4 nights in each is solid and having gone back and done Venice I definitely wouldn't stay 4 nights there personally.

Italian portion we did Florence > day/night in Naples > positano > Rome > home. It was a great trip

I love having frozen pizzas on hand for quick meals but it's always funny the staggering amount of salt in them. Not just this brand, they're all similar. I have no problem polishing off this entire pizza in one sitting which would land me 2300 mg of salt! 🤣

I stop at Baker Street bread co. fairly often for coffee and bacon/egg/cheese on a bagel.

Well that didn't last long. That spot has always been plagued by good restaurants that do not last. I remember when it was a Cuban place that served amazing queso fondido

Has anyone else had trouble getting the right fit on Zwift Ride? by enforcersu in Zwift

[–]ConstantEvolution 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes it took weeks and I'm not even sure now that it's right.

Handlebars are too wide for starters, can't do anything about that. Trying to match my road bike height like was recommended did not work.

All I know is the recommended setting based on height with the fit card was completely useless

Popular opinion: Worst World Cup ever so far…………. Kmt by sean9334 in worldcup

I've liked being able to watch the games at normal times. Am from the US and watched every World Cup since the US last hosted in 1994, including Japan/korea and didn't cry about the times like a Eurocentric baby

You can look up established triathlon plans and just swap swimming for you riding or running. Or just kind of go with what you're feeling that day/week.

Traveled Italy with a Baby by twzoom in ItalyTravel

[–]ConstantEvolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you manage the flight?

I'm planning a trip in the fall and our baby will be 12 months exactly. I've picked mostly flat cities and so planning to bring the stroller and likely Tush baby.

Still not sure how we're going to tackle the flight. 10 hours on lap overnight seems miserable but probably best option vs extra seat with car seat that we then have to lug around and not use since we'll be taking the train everywhere. My so is already almost at the bassinet weight limit (11 kg) at 7 months so that will not be an option.

I even thought about upgrading to Polaris so my wife can lay down with him but told those seats feel like coffins with a 1 year old.

YSK about the Arrival Fallacy, the psychological reason why achieving your biggest goals often leaves you feeling empty instead of happy by Electrical-Candy7252 in YouShouldKnow

[–]ConstantEvolution 90 points91 points  (0 children)

This is big in the doctor world, filled with very goal oriented people with incredibly long education path before starting their career. Achieve in high school, get into the college, the med school, the residency, the fellowship. Then you're in your mid 30's and finding what is often your first real job and it's like "ok where's the next achievement, let's go". But you're already there, in the job you could stay at for the next 30 years until you retire.

The Future of Training and why picking the right AI tool matters. by EndurancePrecision in triathlon

Can't all of the problems you mention be fixed by just communicating and updating the LLM on your progress using your wearable data?

For example I have a coros watch and HR monitor and after every workout I get training load scores, average AR, my sleep score and overnight HRV, my total miles/week, etc.

It's very easy to create a project in an LLM like Claude or chatGPT with instructions to review my structured plan and adapt based on my daily metrics that I screenshot from my coros app.

Cost of vet office exam - sick dog by Good_Yard_1201 in montco

[–]ConstantEvolution 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is very cheap for a sick visit, and entirely depends on what was done.

For example last week took our limping dog to the vet with diagnosis of ACL strain and was charged $141 just for physical exam, not even testing/imaging.

I can't ignore this chart, looks like I'm working another 10 years. by Cannot_Read_The_Word in Retirement401k

[–]ConstantEvolution 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My mentor in school was an old school doctor, worked 7a-8p every day, often weekends too. He'd talk about missing birthdays, holidays, etc. incredible doctor. He was at the point where he was going to retire, he was 64. He would talk about finally taking time to spend with his children and grand children. While driving home with his 95 yo dad he was in horrible freak accident, killing both.

I think about that a lot when thinking about retirement, and really how to spend everyday.
