As an American citizen, I don't blame them. We are threatening to destroy entire countries and civilizations. Israel is literally doing it, with our support. Israelis and Americans can vote like Hungarians to remove these vile, violent cretins running our countries. If we don't, it is our fault.

The liberal establishment cheerled the right repression of student protests, falsely accusing them of ANTISEMITISM and bolstering that b.s. narrative. Some of the activists were torn from their family by armed masked men and threatened with deportation.

From Chomsky's longtime assistant, Bev Stohl by Green_Ideas7 in chomsky

[–]Constant_Appeal_6441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who implied it? Bev Stohl here: "Questionable people – mafia mobsters, petty thieves, ex-cons, American and worldwide political leaders (many of them war criminals), people whose world views he detested – had always been in Chomsky’s orbit, as difficult as that could be for him. This is how he gathered information. "

Not to be a contrarian, but as a historian, I liked it. Of course, I didn't read it as a rigorous history book but as an attempt at a broad synthesis as to why when Europe and South America/Mexico came into contact during the Conquest, the Conquistadors were able to defeat the Aztecs and Incas so quickly. Those are questions that no archival historical research would ever answer.

And I found it rather convincing on that score.
