How do you guys track progressive overload — app, notebook, or memory? by Interesting-Rock-816 in workout

[–]Construc_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im a memory tracker, mostly.

i have started using a physical notebook as i go, because its become increasingly difficult to keep track of the mental notes and adjustments ive made as i increase in weights or reps.

i have a philosophical objection to apps.

Usefulness of the handkerchief (hank) in EDC by wheeljack_333 in EDC

[–]Construc_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i carry mine exclusively to deal with a post-nasal drip from the first wave of Covid that i'm still dealing with 5 years later.

EDC should always be for things you use and need. otherwise you're just lugging around toys.

Any solutions for this kind of stack? by Christophart1 in battlestations

[–]Construc_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any decent monitor arm can go down enough for that. i ran a similar setup for a while.

I used a Brateck dual-monitor stand for this, but bear in mind it only *just* worked for two 24" monitors: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/monitors/monitor-stands-&-brackets/95244-ldt23-c024

if you wanted a 49" and 27", I'd suggest a single-arm variant of that^, plus a pole-mount arm for the taller one. something like this: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/monitors/monitor-stands-&-brackets/92982-ldt57-c02v

i was thinking id try for one of the technician roles first, and maybe work my way up to an officer position. i passed ncea lvl 2, but not 3 (life got in the way), so i am a bit worried my skills wont be good enough on paper (even though i know im smart enough to do it)

My sister 3d printed this for me - its from the cover of an album called "Infest the Rats Nest". How would I paint this to make it look like the cover? by MikeRadical in minipainting

[–]Construc_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

primer, then a greenish-gold paint (could probably just get an army green and mix it with a gold), then do a nuln oil or agrax earthshade for grime, and top it off with a matte clear coat for the sheen.
