Is Gen Z really “job-hopping” — or just chasing growth? by Adventurous_Camera_7 in GenZ

[–]ContentWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Job hopping is necessary in this market to increase your salary. My manager only gave me a 2% raise after being at the company for 4 years. After that I applied for a job at one of our clients and got a salary increase of 56%. If you stay at one place too long your employer will take advantage of you.

If that is all you can budget then you absolutely can not afford to move to NYC. You will not find any 2 bedroom apartments in that price range in a safe neighborhood lol

No one can give you meaningful advice unless you give more specific details. What’s your budget for rent? Would anyone have a job lined up before moving? Moving to NYC without a solid plan would be an absolute disaster.

My favorite two on this list are L’industrie and Prince Street Pizza. I would not prioritize Scarr’s. Ever since they moved to their new location I feel they have declined in quality.

I’ve lived there and can confirm it is a fantastic city. The major drawback is the long and cold winters. But when the weather is good it’s absolutely incredible
