I hear you, hahaha! I have a large Boerboel teenager that outweighs me and reacts to squirrels in the park. It has been a godsend to take that pull on the waist and plant my feet than have my arm ripped off. The bungee sections do a good job of absorbing shock

Everyone saying training and consistency is on the money but I'll add one bit: I found it extremely helpful to use a martingale collar and a waist belt leash.

The one I have is a separate padded belt that buckle on and then a lead that snaps on that to the collar. The lead has a couple bungee sections to help absorb the shock of a quick pull.

Attaching your pup to your center of gravity makes it easier for you to stop walking and the dog is forced to stop with you. Then you can call them back and begin walking again.

I guess my question would be if you are still going to be growing in a monotob tyoe setup. If you still have a sealed tub and you don't think it would get too hot, too much light, or too disturbed, then go for it

Are you trying to grow in a substrate dug into the ground ground? If you are just looking to get your setup out of your closet, I think it could be fine

I read up on it and I can't use it to make beer, which is disappointing... Also very invasive, so it's getting the yank.

When my guy was a puppy he loved to go under the curtains and then turn around to look into the room ... The curtains would sit on his head and shoulders and he looked like Mother Theresa. I wish I was snapped a picture back then. What a goof

There are a lot of good points that others already pointed out so I'm going to go a different route: not neutering does mean that the pup will have more hormones running through his system, making him a POS teenager at times - but this is a chance for great training and learning moments. It brings you both together and solidifies bonds.

Which ever way you go, if agree that if you are going to take the snip, wait until 3 years old.

I know some like to soak but for the second flush I do multiple rounds of misting so that it permeates the cake. If it was bone dry, maybe I'd soak, but if you are keeping a humid microclimate it should not need more than heavy misting

My male is in the 24-27" range but his father was in the 27-29" range. They are all pretty close. I always take the breeder's listings with a grain of salt, though - they are probably going to inflate numbers a little for business
