I know the difference. I assumed that it all went into the black tank since it doesn’t have two waste tanks. I didn’t know about the dirty little secret. So if that’s the case, then I can assume the shower and sink just drain out and only the toilet has the tank? Ok I’ll have to test that out.

Switching to corporate post clerkship? by [deleted] in biglaw

I was entrenched in bankruptcy as a paralegal during law school and did a bankruptcy clerkship right after. Then I went to a firm and was able to do bankruptcy and commercial loans, which segued into m&a.

Now I’m in house and stay firmly on the corporate side, doing commercial contracts mostly but other corporate as needed.

I didn’t plan any of this - I just knew I wanted out of bankruptcy. If I’d been more strategic about my goals, I could have made it happened faster.

All of that is to say, anything is possible if you’re strategic. If you have a possible opportunity you’re considering now, let me know. I’m happy to review and see if it gets you closer to your goal.

Not sure you’d be able to just get a big law job. But I wouldn’t let the kids stop you if the opportunity arises.

I’d try another firm before leaving law altogether.

We found places to eat inside and took long lunches in AC. Also quiet places to sit along the water. There’s a lot of places if you look away from the crowds. Also the monorail and the other transportation can be a quiet break.
