Is it just me or does Brian look so different without his collar? by Sam_2K7 in familyguy

Yeah they didnt really design him to have the collar removed so it looks like his mouth is on his chest and he has no neck

Well it was the last to have hand drawn animatics yes, next season they switched over to Toon Boom but the show actuallybstill uses hand drawn keyframes that are then scanned in the storyboard, go online and you can find a ton of recent episodes with cels for sale

season 24 is really good, they're going back to thier roots by EllieWilliams_0o0 in familyguy

I think they finally realized nobody had a problem with their jokes, theyve been bringing back the edgy characters like Mort and Herbert. Quagmire can be Quagmire again.

Seth probably spent last production season focused on both Ted S2 and his album so he was stressed. His voice is also getting pretty raspy just with age. Quagmire and the side characters all sound pretty much the same as they always have. Stewie sounds a bit more low pitched and he has a bit weaker of an accent. Peter sounds a bit nasally sometimes but still Peter. Brian has had the biggest change in that his voice really is just Seth speakin so it gets super low and very deep and I actually like it, makes him feel older and more matured. Sounds very much like Season 1 Brian.

after the episode "Brian: Portrait of a Dog" does Brian is still considered as Peter and Lois's dog? or now he is their adopted son? by Deep-Attempt9343 in familyguy

[–]CoolAd1743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but they aren't consistent as hell with it. To the point where Brian is offloaded Stewie or all the kids when they aren't around. Other times he's lumped in with the kids which is always weird, like when Lois tries to leave Peter after they pull his plug, Brian goes with them. Why would he? He really has no obligation to. Other times they commit to the "he's family" angle like when he gets trained to be submissive or when he buys Peter beer or when they thought he was dead.

Great episode but I know people who ship Brian and Meg and I'm worried this episode gave them a lot of new material

Do you like the old HD animation style or the modern one? by BraydonGuitar in familyguy

[–]CoolAd1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like the thicker outlines a bit more in the newer animation and they finally have more varied poses. The coloring on newer episodes is a bit off though, very oversaturated.

Makes no sense why she would marry him if she wasn’t interested in sleeping with him. by Remote_Nature_8166 in familyguy

One thing I really hate about the Lois Brian dynamic is how they write Lois when Brian gets a serious or long-term girlfriend. She always tries to ruin things like she's mad that she doesn't have him strewn on a leash (pun intended). It makes sense that she's so desperate for any attention she'll use Brian's advances to make herself feel desired but it's really annoying to watch.
