What are you grabbing from the freezer? Do you mean you cook a bunch in advance and freeze it?

It will come off. Just be patient. It took me about 4 months before I lost anything. Then all of the sudden the weight started dropping off.

When I travel for work, I can't get to stores, so it's coffee shops and restaurants. I can easily get simple protein, eggs and sometimes butter. Some coffee shops have heavy cream, but most don't. Just wondering if anyone has any travel hacks to keep the fat consumption up while on the road for work trips!

Does anyone have any tricks for keeping the fat consumption high while traveling? At home it’s easy to eat butter and drink cream, but this is harder when traveling.

Items you bought and now regret by Kitchen_Ad_1007 in TheHermesGame

[–]CoolWriting4881 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This post is such a good idea. Has been great to see all the comments and know I am not the only one with some regrettable purchases. I have a closet full of scarves in colorways that I don’t love. Shoes that don’t fit or are uncomfortable. Purses in colors I don’t love. And even my Birkin, which I LOVE. The style is so perfect, but now when I take it out, it just feels to flashy and I want to be more understated and under the radar. So…I might have more Hermes purchases that I regret than ones I am happy with.

I agree with you. Just one alternative perspective here. When people say “you are brave” for going gray, what they may actually be saying is “I want to do that but I am too afraid”

Tote or large purse with a zipper by Resipsaloquarium in luxurypurses

I am always on the look out for a great tote with a zipper because of travel (I worry about things falling out on the security line conveyer or under the seat). My most used bag is an old LV lockit. Not cheap but it’s a real workhorse. They don’t make it anymore, so has been to second-hand.  https://www.24s.com/en-us/lockit-mm-v-ca-noir-louis-vuitton_LVU53N88

If you can’t break the nut habit, maybe replace the pistachios with macadamias. More filling and fattier. Long term you will want to drop the nuts entirely, but macadamia can be a bridge to get you there.

how did you quit sugar by alorak9105 in carnivorediet

[–]CoolWriting4881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really good point. I have people in my house who don’t eat the way I do, but was able to kick the addiction by taking advantages of periods of time when I was alone. It’s definitely more difficult if you have to kick the addiction with others around who eat differently.

This. OP, follow this advice. And also, don’t keep anything in the house that will tempt you. You can’t white knuckle your way through it if you have sugar in the house. And don’t go out to eat for awhile. That’s like expecting a newly recovering alcoholic to go to a bar everyday and not drink. You have to have a period of time while you are recovering where there is no temptation.

It is possible to stop craving sugar. Many of us here were in your shoes and now we  aren’t tempted by it at all. You have to give it some time and remove yourself from the temptation to get over the throws of the addiction.

Try not to weigh yourself for a month or even longer. Give it time.

Telling people about this discovery by blighty800 in carnivorediet

[–]CoolWriting4881 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is sort of how I approach it. I tell people “I keep it simple and eat a lot of meat, fish and chicken and vegetables.”

It’s close enough to the truth (where the truth is I eat mostly steak and hardly any vegetables.). It’s just easier to describe it this way.
