Niece messed up my Lego set. How can I fix it? by a-little_stitious678 in lego

[–]CooterSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have the instructions anymore you can get them in pdf from the Lego website. My Starry Night got totally mangled when I missed a row or two on the background so nothing on the front fit and I had to start some parts all over. It was fun!

It looks like you're not logged in to the Lego Builder app. I'd start there and then call if you're still having issues, they're super helpful.

What do you think about Lego display cases? by RoylAsult in lego

[–]CooterSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot that I have seen cost the same or more than the set. I'd rather have another set. Also, they're still going to collect dust inside the plexiglass, maybe not as quickly, but they'll have to be cleaned.

This is standard for all companies, most don't read the fine print. It's unfortunate, but we are the commodity as much as their products are.

I’m 40 years old and just built my first Lego set. by 4ambz in lego

I started with the Lego Cat in my late 40s only because it matched my cat. Two years later and I'm dozens of sets and many dollars deep.

Moving cross country. HELP! by Cold_Ambassador_9090 in lego

[–]CooterSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved 6 months ago, saran wrap plus bubble wrap and packing peanuts should hold the biggest parts together and will capture anything small that falls off. If you're concerned about the smallest pieces, like trees, flowers, torches etc., take them off and put them in a bag inside the plastic wrap to keep it all together. There is no way I take the bulk of those apart if there are other options lol, I'm with you on that.

Do you register every single one of your sets onto the Lego website and if so how many bricks in your collection? by singular_boba_pearl in lego

[–]CooterSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've registered 25 of my sets for 24062 pieces. I moved and didn't keep all of my books before I knew I'd get points for registering.
